Best Micro Business Accounting Software

I'm looking to sell a single apparel product online that only comes in two sizes and two colors. I'm looking to use an online accounting software to help organize my finances. My goal is to start out as lean as possible. Which business accounting software options would be the most cost effective for my needs? Thank you.

Question about setting up a business bank account,

Hi, I'm currently trying to start a gardening business, as a sole proprietor. Everywhere I've seen says to set up a separate business checking account and credit card is recommended. I have a bit of a silly question: Can I simply set up a standard checking and credit card account with my existing bank, and just use that for my business? Or is there something special or different about opening up a "business account" with a bank. Currently my bank, USAA doesn't do "business accounts" but I'm frankly not sure what that even means, and can I just open regular accounts with them just for my business. I hope my question makes sense. Thanks!

Vinyl printer worth it?

I'm going back and forth between continuing to pay for my shirts and prints vs buying one. I mainly pay the person to make my shirts now. I buy the tshirts and I pay her to put the vinyl on. I do all my own designs and layout. Probably spending about $100 every other month or so. Mostly give aways and shirts I wear for work. Pros: Eventually will save money after initial cost is returned. Can make all different prints for anything and everything. Cons: time to learn software, printing, cutting, applying vinyl, upfront cost, space in my office, paying someone else to do it. Anyone else go through this situation. Thanks!

Card Processing through Quickbooks

I have Quickbooks online. In person Card Swipes cost 2.4%. However, [Quickbooks desktop's monthly plan](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/payments/desktop/) only costs 1.6% for in-person swipes. I've figured out the math and the 0.8% savings on CC processing fees more than outweigh the subscription costs for QB desktop + processing. Almost all of my card processing can be done in-person. And my payments are low volume, high ticket transactions. Is this a no-brainer? What am I missing? Thanks

If you accept payments online, what payment processor do you use?

Launched a new processor into beta called Edge. We’re building the most inclusive processor that evaluates merchants based on financial risk. This means we are able to underwrite merchants who have been classified as high risk by current processors. Alongside our underwriting, we've also built a beautiful dashboard, hosted checkout, and developer APls. Long term, we’ll launch other products such as lending, banking, BNPL, card issuing, and more. I’m interested in chatting with merchants seeking alternatives or just hear what you love about your current processor. Our site is here: https://tryedge.com

Do you think I can become financially free?

If I keep grinding my print on demand store and never stop growing, can I become financially free - as in only work 1 hour a day, and then just chill?

EBiTDA calculation

I own a small business and looking to sell. I need to calculate my EBITDA and do not want to ask my bookkeeper but have access to all financials. I am hung up on where to assess the amortization portion. Is there a recommended YouTube or other online course I can take for basic business valuation skills? Thanks to all

The widespread creation and dissemination of convincing deepfakes should spell the end of social networks as a news source, Leonid Bershidsky writes for bloombergopinion. Until recently, the emergence of a good deepfake was newsworthy. The fake could be relished and debunked, like the viral image of the pope in a faux Balenciaga puffer coat. But because the future is already here, these takes are behind the curve. Thanks to deepfakes, legacy media have an opportunity to claw back much of their lost credibility and clout. So will the media seize the opportunity to reclaim their authority? Tap the link in our bio to read the full column. 📷: Pablo Xavier

The leap

Can anyone share their experience leaving a steady secure career and opening their own small business. Back story and why I’m asking, I’ve been in my current career for 15 years. I’m making progress and make decent money. However, I’ve ran a small business as a hobby on the side for 6 years now and want to be my own boss and running my shop full time would be great. I just don’t want to set my family up for failure. Anyone been down this path before or in similar circumstances?

Any business owners who want a mobile optimized website for online presence but don't wanna pay a freelancer to develop one?

It's crazy to see freelancers charge $50 an hour for building a website, but I've learnt how to bypass them. Who wouldn't love it if it was free?

Uline Shipping Labels

Hi there! We use a Dymo 4XL printer and are interested in ordering some thermal labels from Uline in bulk. There are a few 4x6 labels that they offer - does anyone have experience using these and have a particular model # that they can recommend for this printer? (ex: S-2395) Thank you!!
