What do you do when you’re in a yoga rut with your at-home practice?
Hello fellow yogis, Lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve been in a deep rut with my at-home practice. What was once a daily 55 min practice every evening after work with my Down Dog app now feels like a chore that I struggle to get myself to do. And I’m not entirely sure why. My body feels stiff from not practicing and I feel good when I do some poses here and there during the day, but I just can’t get through a full practice like I used to, even trying out shorter sessions. I’ve tried changing the settings in the app, but that seems to make things even more unappealing to me. Has anyone gone through anything similar and overcome this?

Body cracking
Since I started yoga I’ve noticed a lot more crackling in my body. I’m talking like knuckle cracking, my ankles and shoulders, and repeatedly, not a once and done like with knuckles. I assume with time and practice I’ll be stronger in these poses and will be distributing my weight properly, but should I be concerned right now? I don’t want to weaken the bones while I’m trying to strengthen the rest of me.

Help!
Hello! Iv been doing yoga for a few years and for some reason I am not gaining any real flexibility. I still can’t do the splits or put my legs behind my head. I feel so stiff. Any advice on stretches to start doing to help me with split or putting legs behind my head? These moves look so easy but are so painful for me I don’t get it

Hot yoga before work clean up
Hey everyone! There is a hot yoga place right across the street from where I work. I want to attend the morning classes but there is no shower available for afterwards. I am looking into gym wipes but sweat dried on my scalp is super itchy. I don't have access to a shower at work either. Got any ideas on clean up after hot yoga without a shower?

How to determine the best distance between front and back foot in pyramid pose?
Hi all I’ve been practicing yoga for years but realized that I’m never quite sure about my feet in pyramid pose. I feel like in most sequences from other standing poses the instructor will cue for us to shorten our stance (something like “step the back foot forward to around the center of the mat” or “step the back foot forward about 1 foot”). I typically just follow the cues as well as I can but my stances are different lengths. What I’m wondering is: how far apart should I aim for? And how does the distance between front and back leg affect the pose?

I don't seem to be able to consistently find balance in this pose, in particularly the part where I move my leg out to the side while moving my gaze in the other direction...and then coming back to center from there. Anything that helped your body to figure it out?

Why do I always feel lightheaded / sick feeling during Camel pose (during 26+2 hot yoga sequence)
I have been doing this a while now, and whenever we get to camel, as soon as I bend backwards to position (I cannot go fully extended with arms to feet yet) all of a sudden I feel sick, lightheaded, and can never keep the posture for long .. anything to help? Thank you!

Soreness at the back of my upper legs and having bruises (photo attached) after yoga
Hi, can anyone advise me on what’s happening around my legs? I’ve started having the sense of soreness yesterday evening, went to bed and woke up today with this bruises and soreness. It affects my walk a bit as I can lift up my legs as usual. Bit of context, I’m new to yoga, just started it a week ago and before this soreness happened, I had 1 yoga class in the morning of 07/04/2023 and once again yesterday’s morning (08/04/2023). The bruises and soreness are in both legs of mine. Anyone can help suggesting what’s happening with my legs and how to ease it away?
