Astro Grad School?
I’m currently a junior in college studying astrophysics and I know that if I want to actually achieve something in this field, I’ll have to get a PhD. As of 2nd semester this year, I don’t have any research experience, but I do have one this coming summer and potentially even during the next fall/spring semesters. My GPA is also at a 3.33 with my major GPA being even lower at 2.95. Now, REALISTICALLY, what are my chances of getting into a mid-tier PhD program? Or should I apply for a Master’s first? Would you recommend taking any GRE exams?

On their website, NASA removed a post of a scientist debunking a religious claim and I'm hoping there's an alternative somewhere...
This is the page I was able to retrieve using the wayback machine * https://web.archive.org/web/20221204120817/https://lunarscience.nasa.gov/?question=evidence-moon-having-been-split-two It was available up until recently. Does this statement still exist in another part of the site? Unfortunately, I live in a religious environment that has a tendancy of promoting some moon myths such as this one (and the [Neil Armstrong Muslim myth](https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2018/10/12/false-persistent-rumor-that-neil-armstrong-converted-islam/)) so I'm hoping such an official statement still exists because I still have to point it out to people every now and then. I appreciate this is an unusual question...

Why does electric propulsion need a neutralizer, because it is directed to the ion beam and souldn't affect the thrust?

2024 solar eclipse and travel logistics in southern Ontario
Hello /r/astronomy. I caught the news yesterday about the total solar eclipse a year from now. I'm hearing reports of booked up hotels in the zone path. I've heard about traffic becoming miserable. For those in other parts of the world that's populous and have lived through an event, what can one expect especially on a Monday, work day? I remember the last time this happened, I was a young child. Schools kept drapes closed so never got to witness it going dark. I'm in Toronto so we're just outside the path. I see that 60km away in Hamilton, they are. 3:16pm in the afternoon is when it will happen. I'm a sport and touring cyclist so going along the lakeshore trail isn't an issue. I can easily book the day off, ride out, have lunch there and enjoy the scene. Should I consider going further toward Niagara Falls or is being near the edge of the zone as interesting especially being able to clearly see the parts outside of the zone?
