About to sell a business, when do you tell employees?
I am expecting a purchase contract any day now. I am guessing once it is signed, it will take 30 days to finalize as there is property involved. When do you tell employees that the business has been sold?

What is fair amount of time for lunch?
I run a small ceramic business. I currently have an employee that does shipping for me who works 11 am- 6 pm 5 days a week at a rate of $20 p/h. We offered 30 minutes paid for lunch but after realizing he was not taking additional breaks throughout the day, changed that to 40. He has been taking 50. I don't want to be petty or unfair. I want to offer a decent life/work balance and not be a penny pinching capitalist but i also can't help feeling this could inch up to an hour a day and that i don't want to spend that 400 a month on eating time. We are in New Jersey and I know I should check labor laws but just want to hear anecdotally how much time you offer your employees for lunch breaks. Thank you in advance for any words of advice.

I have a small business, having trouble obtaining funding?
I have a small AirBnb business, but the only issue I am having is getting funding. Unfortunately, my credit dropped due to a situation happening and I had to use my credit cards. I used to have a credit score of 650+, but I am in the progress of getting my credit back to the right place. In the meanwhile, I wanted to know how did you guys get funding for your business with bad personal credit, no business revenue, and no business credit? I have been doing research day in and day out, but I do want to hear everyone's experiences. I heard one youtuber talking about angel investors. I prefer to have a business credit card or LOC.

Hi this is my first time posting, I have a problem with finding a warehouse that has power for my work.
Hi, this is my first time posting, I have a problem with finding a warehouse that has power for my work. It doesn't have to have a lot of power but enough for me to operate my machine. Its needs about 200 square feet and just a power outlet is truly needed. It also needs to be in Orlando as I am going there for School (GO UCF). Thank you for the help though.

Idea validation
I want to validate an idea with you guys if you don’t mind. The idea is Fully AI-powered customer support service. First of all it’s support thru the chat, in the future phone call support as well. What do you think, if you’d be a small or big company with customer support needs. Who’d you choose AI-powered support for 50-100$ per month or you would prefer to hire some one?

Is there any harm in touring my dream retail space before I have my own real estate agent or know anything?
For many years I've dreamed of opening a tiny shop in a specific little mall - the location is the inspiration so it only works there - and now there is a tiny space available. I reached out to the mall's agent and found out the rent. Based on lots of research, I think it's at least a little bit overpriced. The agent asked if I want to tour it. Is there any harm in touring it myself even though I know very little - just to get a better idea of everything even if I'm not ready to negotiate? I think I need to get my own real estate agent to help because I'm not great at that kind of thing and don't want to make any wrong moves. At the same time, I'm waiting to hear back on agent recs from some friends and am worried someone else could jump on the place - I figured touring would give me a better sense meanwhile if it really seems worth going for.

Least expensive way to hire bookkeeper
I run a small business and need a book keeper to manage accounts. Not that much but I don’t have time and can’t afford a regular accountant. With the online capabilities of people today, is it viable to find a freelancer and keep them working engaged enough to help me long term? Is there an online freelance platform like that?

Video Ad Creators
I'm currently on Fiverr trying to find someone to create a facebook video ad for a product I'm selling. I'm seeing a lot of "dropshipper" and "stock videos", but it's not what I need. I'm specifically looking to send my product to someone who can make an "unboxing" style video, but I'm struggling with the right wording in the search bar to find the type of creator I need. Any ideas?

Does anyone else feel like nobody cares anymore?
Hi all - writing a response to another question in here made me realize just how endemic a complete lack of caring has become in my industry. 5 years ago we had large groups of competent and dedicated people at all levels, now I can count on one hand the people I can count on. "Not my job" has skyrocketed from an occasional slogan to something like a religion. Has anyone else noticed this happening in your industry?

Should Employees using company gas card to fill company vehicles be able to clock in at the gas pump?
First let me start by saying this is for a company in Florida. My question is in regards to employees who drive company owned vehicles with company provided gas cards. My employees currently are not able to clock in until they reach the first stop of their route and end the day at the end of their route. Commutes generally vary from 20-1.5 hours. We reimburse anything over the hour commute mark via adjusting time cards. Now my question is. Should our employees be able to clock in when they are fueling the vehicle? I know some managers fear this will open up employees to fueling everyday to get around the clocking in at first location rule. I personally feel it should be as we keep them on clock to get oil changes and vehicle maintenance on the clock and feel fueling is part of this. I have managers who disagree with this stance. But we have no concrete policy on this it's a he say she say affair And have a hard time finding any legal stance on this to finally get a clear answer.

I need some feedback on this Idea
Idea: A business that is like an insurance broker, but for websites. The client hires you and gives you all the features they want their website to have, and you try to find and negotiate the best price for them. The way to make money I'm not sure of, either finding them the best price costs money, or you make a commission from the website builder for getting them a sale. I would love feedback on this.

Software Idea Validation
Hey everyone just looking to validate an idea and would love any feedback! The idea from a high levelAn email filter where I can guarantee you would never get a cold email/marketing communications again. I have created the model already and it’s amazing and separating sales and marketing emails. Other features I’m considering: easily unsub from newsletter and such from a single page. I’m not sure about this one I’ve received mixed feedback. Monetizing your inbox. When a cold emailer is detected they are sent a stripe link and given the option to pay X amount (set by the user). The user can choose if they receive the money or donate it to a charity of their choice. If the user pays, their email is pinned to the top of the inbox for 24 hours and user will read it. This way only really good offers get through and the user is a little more incentivized to read it. Any input is appreciated
