Want to work with Kim Kardashian? She’s hiring. Her private equity firm has taken on a half-dozen Wall Street professionals, including a new COO who previously worked at alternative investment giant Apollo. SKKY Partners now has almost a dozen employees, and expects to surpass 15 by the end of this year, according to co-founder Jay Sammons. Do you outsource administrative tasks?

How do you manage all the administrative tasks? Do you employ someone or do it all by yourself? Would you outsource these tasks to a company that specializes in administration? Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Gym Membership - Loyalty Rewards Program Ideas

Ideas wanted: I would like to incentivize my clientele for retaining their membership throughout the year. I expect clients to come and go, but I'd like to reduce the volume of cancellations that happen in the Summer and Fall. Those are my seasons of high turnover for no other reason than "looking to save my money, so I'll exercise outside" or "we're busy, so we might not be able to come much, so we'll go ahead and cancel". Has anyone successfully implemented a rewards program for loyalty? One that works to reduce this type of departure but also doesn't impact your bottom line too much? I don't have the budget to give much. We're early in our business, so memberships are barely turning a profit right now, so I'm looking to keep as many as possible. I have many ideas, but I'd like to hear what others have implemented/explored. After that, I'll focus on growing memberships, but retaining what I have today is my top priority.

Help with partnership agreement

My friend and I would like to open a small business. We are both passionate about the business and willing to put in 50/50 work. We ideally would like to have a 50/50 partnership, but I'm the only one who will be investing money into the business. Is there a way to fairly compensate my risk of loss in this partnership? We are both completely new to business so we are trying to do our due diligence but I'm struggling to find good information online for this situation. We will be using an attorney to help with a partnership agreement but we would like to be prepared when that time comes. Thank you!

Advice on Fulfillment Center

I am looking to streamline my business. I sell carpeting/rugs but looking to pivot a little. I am looking for a fulfillment center that can take customized orders where people want different dimensions. Does anyone know a fulfillment center that can take a roll of rug, see an order, and cut the dimensions as they're ordered and ship out?

any POS recommendation for a retail store?

hi I am looking for an excellent POS that will handle hundreds/thousands of items for a retail store. right now my business just has a generalized category on the POS(just has about 10 categories of items) so it's not keeping track of individual items. I want to get a POS system that will be a track individual items with modern UI. I want the POS system to be able to sort by like "most sold item lists in day/month/year" and such type so I can really see what items are selling/not selling and how many I am selling each items. is there such good POS system for something like that?

Starting a Bar! How Much Is Inventory Going To Cost?

Hi All! I have a unique opportunity to take over ownership of an established bar near my hometown. Does anyone have any experience in this industry that can provide an estimate of inventory costs? To be clear, I already have the rest of the financials figured out, just trying to budget how much liquor and beer may cost to keep the bar running each month. I know this varies based on location, demand, and distributor, but I want to hear what some of you have experience when it comes to inventory costs!

Have people been following the Corporate Transparency Act filing requirements of Beneficial Ownership Info Reports?

r/ctaboireports I am fascinated how more lawyers and accountants are not aware of this…FinCen is the governing entity and says it will affect up to 42 million small businesses in the United States. The penalties are $500/day if you miss the filing deadline. Mark your calendar for January 1, 2024!

Anyone Else Have Difficulty with Time/Task Management? - Feel Constantly Overwhelmed and Disorganized

I have an e-commerce business, and I've gradually been scaling. I'm moving into a warehouse at the end of spring, and I'd like to add an employee. One thing that's really been bothering me is managing my time. I feel like I have so much to do, and I'm constantly overwhelmed by how to arrange everything. I end up doing 1/3 of what I intended, because I'm fretting about whether I should work on order fulfillment, check in inventory, work on my website, etc. I like order and organization, and I'm very unhappy with how disorganized I've become. It seems like it should be simple enough...work on the website from 8-10, do inventory related tasks from 10-12, but it never works out. I end up getting distracted with something else and then losing focus. I'm just curious how everyone else manages their time, whether through rigid scheduling or some other means. I really need to improve in this area, because it's causing me a lot of stress.

Security Camera Recommendations

I currently have Reolink, but it crashes every-time I try to download a playback. Just expanded my store and need more cameras (16x). Can anyone recommend something that has good quality, good playback, and a download? Capable of watching at home or on my phone. Thanks in advance!

In the process of potentially hiring my first employee

Hi all, As the title states, I will be doing an "interview" next week in the search of my first potential employee. Looking for recommendations on general things I should ask, what I should be looking for, while having a casual conversation and getting to know the other person. I am not looking to conduct a "normal" interview but am just genuinely looking to get to know the other person, and want to know if there is anything in particular I should be focusing on.
