Frivolous ADA Lawsuits against small businesses - Please sign our petition and lets make congress pass a bill to protect us!

Please sign our petition - Link below: https://www.change.org/shakedownlawsuits My company is currently enduring one of these shake down law suits. There is currently a bill in congress waiting to be passed, that would help ALL small business owners from this extortion by unscrupulous lawyers and serial litigants, who simply have found a loop hold in the law and are using that to extort as much money out of us. We need to put a stop to this!. I am hoping that this petition will garner enough support that I will be able to forward it to Re. Calavert who introduce this bill and to the House Judiciary comittee who need to act on this bill. I am also hoping to draw media attention to this. Please sign this petition and if you are enduring the same please tell us your story. EVERY SIGNATURE COUNTS!!! https://www.change.org/shakedownlawsuits

How to help promote my power washing business?

I’ve already made some business cards and I’ve tried to network some but it’s been hard to get customers. Any ideas?

I don't know how much to charge.

I have recently started an aerial photo/video business, mainly for real estate. I offer something pretty unique in that I film and edit a short video of the property and surrounding areas, while showing off local businesses, schools, hospitals, etc. Normally I charge 500 dollars per house after taxes and fees because I find that people really like paying the price they were told. But recently I was approached by a large apartment manager to do one of his properties, which consists of 9 buildings and over 100 apartments in total. He wants the video I normally provide, along with some simple photos of the buildings. I plan to throw the photos in for free since this manager owns over 45 communities like this and I want to get more of his business. The problem is that I really dont know how much to charge him for the video, any advice welcome.

Shipping container business,

Hey guys, I would need feedback on this one. Would it be a smart idea to buy a shipping container and selling food out of it, let’s say a cake stand or something. Cutting out windows and doors and so on? If you wanted more places to sell, you could easily hire people and buy more containers and do the renovations!

Take it or let it go

I run a small service based business where we offer B2C consultating. Recently, I have really improved my pitch and am beginning to see some good progress and revenue coming in. Let's say my service costs GBP 30,000 and I offeres it to a client at 24,800 as an offer. Now I ideally would sign up the client on full payment upfront but I do often offer it at 65% upfront and 35% after delivery. Now, came across this cheapass law baller who thinks he can do the same thing by hiring a freelancer and basically does not value our service. He's suggesting to break it into 5 instalments and on top of it, wants to sign a contract that if the service is not delivered under certain time period, I will refund all money which is just pissing me off. Some people who I trust have suggested me to avoid taking him onboard as if he's creating issues when signing up, it's best to not take him onboard and to value my peace very the little money he's going to bring in. Any advice?

Is this Boba Store overvalued?

Hi Business community! Looking to purchase one of two business and need some advice on their business values. Boba Store: Cost: $210K; Year net income: $45K Gas station: Cost: $600K; Net income: $210K I know this is very limited information, and requires a lot more in depth analysis, but based on these figures, how much would you value each business? Which opportunity is worth more pursuing?

If a person starts a small business should they have a "business lawyer" on some sort of retainer? I didn't know if stuff "came up", where a person needs a business lawyer or needs to do filings or something..I was thinking if it was worth it to "retain" one?

Quickly fill multiple pdf forms just with 1 variable input

We have a bundle of pdf documents that needs to be repeated for each project. There are a lot of fields that are the same across all the pdfs. For example the "company name" We're looking for a software that let us create a general input form that fulfills all the field in all the pdfs at once. We have just to chose, the first time, to which form assign the general variable. For example Variable 1 - company name Fields Pdf 1 - field 3,4,8 Pdf 4 - field 5 If we input the variable 1 it's fulfilled in all the fields l. Any idea? Note. In Adobe Acrobat form if you assign the same name to different field, once you fill one it's copied across all the fields with the same name. What we're looking for is something like this but extended to more pdfs

Managing a growing team?

Hello there! My business (bakery) has grown a lot in the last five years, and I’m managing about 15 employees. 3/4 of them are bakers, the rest are packers and delivery drivers. I really try my best to be as communicative, responsive, empathetic and supportive. I need to reiterate that I am one person managing and running an entire wholesale baking operation, a team, among other things that involve this business. I have a lot on my plate, and sometimes things slip my mind. What things can I do better? What can I do to make sure everyone is being heard and supported? I feel like I try my best and sometimes it’s just never enough— and I know you can’t make everyone happy.

Solo 401K's

Small business owner (advertising consulting) who has set up their LLC as an S-Corp - this is my side gig. I'm also employed full time where I have a 401K through my employer. My understanding is that I can also set up a solo 401K through my S-corp and double my annual contribution. Has anyone done this and if so, what vendor do you use for your sole 401-K? I looked at Fidelity but oddly they don't offer wire transactions, only checks.

I'm in need of some advice as to the best way to structure my business(s)

I'm currently in the process of finding multiple income streams, beginning with a rental property. My next step will be investments, and there's a few more, all different from the others. So my first question is,will every new stream need to have it's own LLC/scorp,etc... or can it be just ONE,and I run all the streams through it? Also,I've had an EID since the early 2000s as well as a defunct sole proprietorship from a project that never got off the ground if that makes a difference Thanks in advance

Starting A Baby/Kids Clothing Business

Hi! I am starting up a kids clothing company and I'm hoping I can be up and running soon. I have placed a ton of details in not only the clothes but the packaging, thank you cards, the labels etc. I also thought I would do something fun like place starbucks GC in some of the packages (since I know my audience will be tired mom's like me - lol) as just something nice and fun. But that will only be at first and I started thinking that I would like to do something fun like that moving forward but more geared towards the business - something like collectors stickers or something of the sort. Is there anything you all include in the packages - besides thank you cards? Or am I doing too much?

Spring water

I have a natural source of spring water close to my home. Some people fill up there for a months use at a time. Would it be a good idea to use the opportunity to use the water and sell it? Fill 5l bottles and give it my own logo and name...people still choose to rather skip the effort and buy bottled water.
