What to do if i made too much money and don't have enough expenses to write off?

Adding up the numbers... my CFP says I made way too much in my sole prop business and have hardly anything to write off as expenses. Now I owe over $20k to the IRS and I obviously want to avoid having to pay that large of amount. What can I do? Is this just an expensive lesson I have to learn?

Baked potatoe business

Hey guys just wanted to ask if you guys think charging $6.50 (including taxes) for a large baked potatoe with bacon cheese is reasonable at a farmers market?

How do you get your online business out there?

My wife and I recently started a small business making handmade soaps. The market is saturated but we’re hoping our unique spin on it will set us apart. My question is how do you go about marketing in your local market during a pandemic? We’re doing the normal stuff like social media, promotions, posting all over the darn place. Any advice would be great

Acquired or ?

Help. Need your opinion pls. Someone outside the US recently approached me to acquire my business in the US as I represent a good route to market for them. The acquiring CEO said they plan to sell their business in a year or two (or that is their hope). At the same time I was thinking about taking on an outside investor to grow to a more meaningful size. No guarantee and some risk. I'm really at a cross roads on what to do or what to think about here. All of this is a different way of thinking. I'm 2-5yrs out from retirement but could retire sooner if I wanted to. Wwyd?

Small business insurance claim

Very easy question but I’m expecting complicated answers. So basically my GFs gas station got robbed. Someone had the keys to the game machine mass produced by the company I assume and they robbed $4000 out of that machine. GFs family is thinking about filing an insurance claim. Is it sensible for that amount? Or would the rates sky rocket after that?

What is the name of the service which is providing financial statements for every country worldwide?

As the title said, I heard that there are services where you can search for a company and see their yearly financial statement, but also other information, like business lawsuits. Are you using these services? I need some information for companies in Dutch, Germany, USA etc.

Should I file a police complaint?

Hey guys, Not sure where to post this. I run a clothing brand online, not drop shipping* Unfortunately due to the second wave of Covid our stock was delayed and which delayed a few orders. Most customers were understanding about it but this one customer whom we also informed on email somehow found my old office address where we started the brand and went there or sent someone and started threatening the land lord regarding this issue which led to quite a scene. Unfortunately my land lord did not get the guys number name or any sort of information regarding the guy who came except the order number. Which is being shipped to a different state. Nor was I informed of the incident until the next day. I’m not sure if I should let this go or file a complaint.

Funding for building purchase

Are there creative ways that are not prohibitive in terms in interest to purchase a retail building? We have found a perfect building. It is 700k and we have personal credit scores in the 800s, 100k cash and wholly owned vacation property in a neighboring state in addition to about 50% equity in our house. How can i secure funding for this building? Everything seems either super short term or super high interest and either of those options make the payments blow up our numbers for the business. Im not sure the sba will do enough (or fast enough) but i also dont know what im looking for here. Most banks want us to have 25% down.

🍑 The data's clear: Butt implants have swollen. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons said demand for the procedure rose 22% last year. Their figures also show an uptick in breast implant removals and a 60% dive in hair transplants. Dermatologist Ava Shamban puts the butt-boom down to two factors — the power of Instagram and a phenomenon called “secretary spread.” Link in bio. (via businessweek)

LLC Registered Agent Services

So we are working on opening our business and have sold a few things but want to open an LLC before things start building up. While researching on an LLC we saw a lot of people pushing towards just submitting your own paperwork to the state and paying the fee. This seems super straight forward and while looking it up I have no doubt I can do it myself. My questions comes up on the Registered Agent services that something like ZenBusiness Offers. The idea of having our home on public record as the service agent doesn't sound good to us and also with plans of traveling in the next year and operating mostly remotely even though most of our production would be in our home state. Looking at $119-199/yr for ZenBusiness doesn't sound horrible to us when it comes to handling Registered Agent duty, Compliance Deadlines, etc. Any reason why we should not do this?

Free Mileage Tracker App Recos?

I will be launching into my independent consulting business (applying artificial intelligence to supply chains) soon and am working on getting a lot of the administrative stuff set up. Recommendations on a mileage app for an Android phone? I would just be tracking trips to/from client sites, errands, etc using my personal vehicle. Prefer free but willing to pay a little bit for ease of use. Thanks!
