I'm a new owner of a restaurant, what should I do with unsold, leftover foods/meals?
I've recently acquired a small restaurant and realized that there quite a bit of unsold food at the end of the day. On average, I'd say around 5+ meals are unsold at the end of the day. Is this normal? I've tried taking home or giving to employees, donating, and selling at a discount but there was not much progress. Most times, I just have to throw it away and waste it. **Is this problem quite common for restaurants? What methods do you use to manage surplus meals?**

Sole Proprietor/DBA confusion
Hey all, I'm just starting a photography business. I registered as a DBA in my area, but I'm still left wondering whether I am a sole proprietor yet or not. I plan to open a business bank account soon, and start branding and everything, but I'm still worried that I am not an official entity and could be wrecked by the IRS if I make too much. I'm also still worried that clients could bash me for my assets if they are unhappy. Despite all of those worries though, I'm just trying to make sure I have enough backing to legally conduct business. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
