GIFI codes and Sage VS QuickBooks
Hello all, I'm a relatively new corporate business owner in Canada, and there is something I really can't grasp: what is even the point of using QuickBooks if I can't even export a GIFI files and properly do my T2 taxes with an online software? Is there a way to do so? Am I completely missing some obvious point? I know and accountant is technically supposed to file my T2 but what if I were to do it myself? Sage seems to be offering the option so I'll likely go with it, it just sucks that something so basic is not included — unless there is a way to set them up manually and then do an export? I am so confused

I know you've heard this before..
But I have an idea. I've always wanted to make sorta mini lunchboxes? It'd be a miniature backpack filled with miniature food items (even wine in the 18+ bags). It's a fidget toy but also something for miniature addicts. I could outsource everything to other small businesses so that they get more business too. Is go about in a pallet way, (whatever brand name I choose) x (miniature small business) I could even scale the sizing of things up or down. Maybe a bag with colorful cute small squishies of healthy foods for young children, it could help their perspective of vegetables and fruits. I've had this idea for awhile but I have no idea how reasonable it is or if the audience I'm thinking of even wants something like this. Should I invest in it? Is it worth it?

El Salvador just became a Bitcoin pioneer, becoming the first country to use the cryptocurrency as legal tender. Residents can now pay taxes in Bitcoin, and “economic agents” will be obliged to accept the cryptocurrency as payment for goods and services. The U.S. dollar will continue to circulate alongside Bitcoin as the national currency in the Central American nation. The country’s 39-year-old President Nayib Bukele has previously said that Bitcoin will help counter El Salvador’s low banking penetration rate and cut the cost of sending remittances. No other country is really doing this yet. The Bahamas Sand Dollar, for example, is simply an offshoot of the Bahamian dollar and trades one-to-one with it. But the move comes with risks. [Question] What do you use to advertise?
I’ve heard the Facebook ads platform has gotten much harder to use since the iOS upgrade. Is that the case for you? What other ways of advertising work best for you?

Sole Trader Contracting vs. Shareholder Salary
Hey all - hoping someone who is in a similar boat can impart some nuggets of wisdom. I have a small company with 3 others (music related) and we are all equal shareholders. So far we have been just contracting ourselves out to the company as sole traders/proprietors, so the company writes it off as expense, and we each sort our own tax out at end of financial year. I'm really confused about whether it's better to just take drawings and then treat this as shareholder salary at end of tax year. Are there any benefits to doing it one way or the other? Thanks!
