Melissa Fumero shared a photo of her pass for the set on Instagram alongside an emotional message, saying: "Each day was full of laughter, of excitement, of nerves, of confidence, of elated exhaustion, and of beautiful friendship & collaboration." Explaining why the eighth season will be the last, executive producer Dan Goor said at the time of the announcement: "Ending the show was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honour the characters, the story and our viewers."
