What to wear to a meeting with the owner of a printing franchise I am considering buying?

It’s a company that prints marketing materials, tshirts, custom pens, etc. It is in the suburbs of a large city. Would a suit be overkill or appropriate? My usual style is a polo, khakis, black dress shoes for something that I need to look semi professional. At weddings I wear a button down and a tie. I have a blazer but it is very very rare that I bring it out. What level would this meeting be?

How can I motivate local business owners/decision makers to participate in my B2B market research?

I'm interested in starting a small b2b business but I'd like to conduct some market research first with the primary goal of discovering if there's actually a demand for my service, if so--who it is, and how much they'd be willing to pay. I have some experience writing market research questions and conducting interviews with small business owners, but I'm not sure how to motivate them to let me take up their valuable time with my interview... Is it common practice to offer them cash payment? Interviews would take about an hour and would initially be targeted at any local business that is not a chain. Does anyone in here run a call center and/or a debt collection agency?

I posted in here the other day about starting a company. One I've thought about a few times is a call center, specifically for debt collection. I am open to other ideas though, if you have any. I plan to keep it small at first, and I already have 10 yes of call experience (all sales, top rep) and another 15yrs of cold call commission/d2d sales. I'm thinking of bringing my sister in on this, she has worked in many aspects involved with credit unions (including debt, fraud, expansion, etc.) and actually ran the first call center I ever worked at. I know how to setup a dialer, rent an office (or use my basement to start) and the logistics of setup.Im'm guessing that I'd need to learn the CPA laws and guidelines for collecting debt, what can and can't be said, etc. So, beyond that I'm wondering if any of you are in this type of business and can give any tips on getting started.

Service businesses, ever tried one of those automated scheduling software?

Hello, my wife currently works in a salon with appointments that’s always bustling. Appointments are made through the phone but this is disruptive to the service if someone needs to stop and pick up the phone to schedule someone. Anyone tried one of those automated scheduling tools? Anyone have any experience with POS sales in France?

We use Shopify for our payment processor and POS system in the US. We are opening a store in France and I am wondering if anyone has any experience using payment processors in France? As I understand it, Shopify payments are not allowed in France. Is there a third-party payment provider we can use with Shopify in France? Do I need a whole new POS system? I saw that [this company](https://paymentforstripe.com) provides a solution for in person payment that connects to stripe. I’m wondering if I connect stripe as our payment processor in Shopify, we can use this as a solution for in person payments? All of our online sales will be fulfilled through the US so we will keep using Shopify Payments for our online sales channel, we just want to keep our in person sales in France separate and deposit into our French bank account. I’m a bit confused about how this process works haha. Any help is appreciated!!

Scheduling independent contractors

I started working as a scheduler for a company this summer that only employs independent contractors. There is no formal system in place for seeing where each employee is throughout each day. When we have a last minute job pop up we’re searching through tens of emails and frantically texting to find coverage. There has to be a better way. Any ideas? More background: the jobs are often short, 1-2 hours and have drive time between. They can stack multiple jobs in a day. They will continue with one job anywhere from 1 day to 2-8 weeks so they start and end at various time. When illness happens they will be rescheduled so a bonus would be a system where the employee can adjust their own schedule, or submit into a system so we (I) could do it for them.
