Teenage girls shoplifting from our store every day
My family owns a very small jewelry store in a vacation beach town. This summer, almost every day teenage girls (middle school to high school age) are attempting to shoplift. It’s new girls every day. We have cameras in every corner of our tiny 20’x20’ store, but that doesn’t deter them. Some are caught in the act, some are submitted to the police on video, and few have been caught by the police. We keep the most valuable jewelry in cases, but we cant keep everything in a case. Is there anything else we can do to deter them? The insane frequency feels like we are named on some website as an easy target. I thought it may be tiktok, but I couldn’t find anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A restaurant for Gym Bros
It would have a bulking/cutting menu, high protein food options, pre-made meals, supplements and clothing. Could even offer things like creatine water too.

Have emojis ever got you in trouble at work? 🤭🤯👀 71% of US workers say messages without them are incomplete in meaning, according to a global survey by Slack and Duolingo. Many also say it makes communication more efficient: “They really can enable us to clarify emotional intent,” says Keith Broni, editor-in-chief of Emojipedia. But the increase in hybrid working and cross-border collaboration also means potential misinterpretation is rife, with 58% of respondents saying they didn’t realize specific emoji have different meanings. Take 🙂, officially named the “slightly smiling face,” a symbol generally associated with happiness and positivity. But one in five people in the US and Singapore use it to show exasperation — in Japan, just one in 20 employees would pick up on that more subtle, subversive meaning.
