HELP! Only have cash for payroll remaining and nothing left for AP's 30 days+
Hi Everyone, Management was adamant on expanding to a 2nd brick and mortar shop too quickly and having an extensive build out so that the flagship store could be seen as a marketing initiative. I have only enough cash to for payroll tomorrow and I'm being hit up by over 40 vendors on 30+ Days outstanding. I've been responding that I'll pay as soon as I can due to cash flow issues. 50% of the AP's are outstanding 30days+ now and of that 50%, it represents 100% of the net income. My options at the moment are the following * Draw the remaining amounts available from LOC * Consider Layoffs * Work with Vendors on a payment plan * Increase sales to generate quick cash * Ask owners to reduce pay Is there anything additional I am missing?

What is the best way to advertise a small business you are trying to sell? I'm helping a friend sell their glass installation business and haven't had much luck.
Any suggestions on where I could help them advertise? LinkedIn is the first place that comes to mind. He is also advertising in industry-specific magazines but hasn't gotten many leads at all that way.

Product Ideas
Hi all! i’m in business school and today was my first day of class in a prestigious program. The program entails pitching a product, selling that product, and handling all the ins-and-outs of your said business. Out of 80 students, 16 pitches will be chosen and 5 people will be in control of each company. My question: i’m having trouble coming up with a viable product idea. what are some cool product ideas you’ve had and would like to see come to life? i’ve had a few ideas, but i’m trying to stick my hand in as many cookie jars as possible! If someone comes up with an idea better than the one i have now, and i actually use it, i’ll keep in touch and update you on how the business is going. depending on how much profit we have at the end of the semester, i can also pay you a part of the profits left after liquidation.

How do I evaluate the price of a business for sale?
Hi I'm looking to purchase a business that recently came up for sale and I remember seeing somewhere that a business' selling price should be twice the amount of its net profit (i don't mean revenue, net revenue etc but net profit after all revenue, costs, expenses etc have been calculated). Is that an accurate way to figure out what it's selling price...Net profit ×2? IF this is accurate what should I do if the seller is overvaluing it by $200k. Simply provide a counter offer and hope for the best? If there are other more important factors besides net profit please let me know. I'm trying to learn on the fly. Lastly I signed a no discllosure doc and can't get into to much specifics but I'll try my best without giving out anything privileged. Your input is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Also, not sure if I should tackle this myself or hand it over an expert as I don’t have much money. I have 3 years to file and only bank statements….. any advice will be very much appreciated.

I need help naming my Pressure Washing business!
I am starting up a pressure washing side business and I need help choosing a name for it. I’d like it to be catchy/different. I work a terrible office job, so I was thinking maybe something like “Keep Me Out Of The Office: Pressure Washing Services” but I feel it is certainly too long lol. Or, keep it simple using my initials like “ABC Pressure Washing Services”

Business debt question
My husband started a renovation company 2 years ago and is currently thinking of going incorporated. He currently has 2 full time employees and is booked till next year. This past year we were finally able to get a company credit card and recently a LOC which were big steps since we had to manage money closely until we got another cheque from clients. The company currently doesn’t have any debt. But if we go incorporated (1-2k) and then added the extra costs of my husband’s CPP, EI and tax remittance every month I think it would start adding up and we would always need to borrow money from the LOC. So my question is, do most small businesses have debt and just borrow money?
