How did you determine what business you started?
I am familiar with filling a niche, offering A service that a market needs, but am also interested to hear how 'you' ended up with the specific business you have. I have all the drive in the world to create something but I've been stuck for a long time on what that "thing" should be.

Looking for tips/advice/help to gain a good client base
I am looking for a potential client base or leads for my business. We provide (academic/content etc) services but not really getting a proper client base and neither I have any idea where to start. The feedback of my work is quite good but the payout that I get from my existing client is very low and doesn't justify the service/effort that I put in it. Henceforth, if anyone can help me with this or get leads or know anyone who'd like to hire me (my organization) I'd be grateful to you. Thanks in advance.

What are some good small business ideas for blue collar oriented people?
Hey everyone, as the title suggests, I’m looking to startup my own business, but looking to keep it more trade/ hands on oriented. I am a union Ironworker and have always been more of a hands on guy, handyman, physical laborer type person. I love speaking with people and making relationships, I’m just not very tech orientated. Making calls, texts and emails are fine, but elaborate websites and hyperlinks and stuff of that nature are not my thing. I have had a small landscaping business for about 5 years, but it’s only for some supplemental cash on the weekends. I’d like to go full time and be my own boss, but just wondering if I could get insight of some unique trades or skills I could provide for people that I may be overlooking? I’m very mechanically inclined, I can weld, landscape, general handyman, vehicle repair, etc. I’m really just looking for some opinions of possible avenues that may be beneficial to explore. Thank you in advance for any comments!

IDEA: Document Management software
NOTE: This is not something like Dropbox or Google Docs. Hello Everyone Background: I work for a company as a software developer where we have inbuilt assets/file manager that we provide to our users, so they can manage their docs. We have built that in-house ourselves. I thought it would be great to build something like this and make it abstract so anyone can use it. This will target companies / people who want a feature of asset/file manager inbuilt in their website but don't want to built from scratch. I tried to find a product that serves this purpose, but couldn't find one. Let me know if there is any? And also provide any suggestion to idea. Thank you in advance.

What are your thoughts on Line of Credit through the bank?
Have you used a line of credit before? What are the pros and cons? Thinking about doing this to add much needed stock to my 2 stores. We mainly focus on repairs but I had a few consultants recommend we add more electronics for sale in the shop and focus some more on our retail potential. That is how similar stores as mine do wells. As you can imagine electrics are expensive to keep stock of for a small bootstrapped business so this is where the line of credit comes in.

How do you utilise contacts without feeling stupid, weird, or like i'm bothering them?
I know in running a small business you have to know how to leverage contacts and collaborate to make things happen. I've worked in several different fields and have talked with lots of really amazing people who have encouraged me to do things, but I dont really know how to follow up with them after an initial talk. I feel stupid and like I am bothering them, I mean I feel like that when I talk to friends also though too. A fee very very big celebrities told me they like my idea and if I needed anything just reach out and like the other day the artist for a major comic franchise told me to just write a couple letters and send them to people, but how do I get over that feeling of stupid and like I am bothering people. And what do I even put in the letters?
