I am lazy so I built a bookkeeping/accounting app
I run 3 small businesses and it was extremely tedious to sit and categorize individual transactions to insert into Quickbooks I kept delaying this and would get so far behind on this that it started to affect my business. I would be clueless on the health of the business, profit/loss etc because the accounting numbers were not getting updated often. So I built an app to solve this problem. It imports all transactions from my various bank accounts, credit cards and neatly categorizes them for income & expense. I can import these transactions into quickbooks or just use the app as my main accounting/bookkeeping software. All transactions are entered automatically in real-time so I never have to lift a finger. I can see the numbers in real-time and adjust scale my business instead of getting anxiety of "doing the books" If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to share a copy of it - free of charge.

Do you let employees use office supplies and stamps for personal use?
I run a professional services firm and we mail a lot of stuff out, so we have a ton of stamps and labels that can be easily printed. Today I noticed that some of our outgoing mail was an employees bills with our stamps on it. It was like 3 envelopes, but she didn't ask anybody and just put them on there. What should I do? Do I just let it go? I'm thinking of bringing it up about a month from now during our staff meeting and saying that a couple stamps here and there is fine, but not to take advantage, would that be opening pandora's box? I'm also considering just banning the use of office supplies for personal use, and writing people up if they do it in the future. Am I overthinking this?

Friends & family commenting to our small business social media page
Do you have this problem? I post a message designed to reach potential customers (strangers) but bored friends & family reply with private "in" jokes that will alienate any customers reading. "Oh you didn't say that at the weekend!" Stuff like that. Have you found a way to deal with it? Is it even a problem? I find it irritating

Any tips on renting out warehouse space for the first time?
Hello everyone! I run an e-commerce business that's been utilizing 3PLs for the past few months to ship our packages to customers. It's been great to have a partner take care of all this for me, but I think it would be best for my business to bring everything in house and have as much control as possible over all facets of business. I want to start handling shipping ourselves, plus some space to build out a small creative studio for advertising videos would be amazing as well. Therefore, I've been searching on Loopnet for 1k-3k sq ft warehouses in my area, and have already found a couple that I'm hoping to tour in the next week. Since I'm completely new to warehouse space and shipping orders at scale - are there any tips you have for when looking at warehouse spaces? Any red flags to search for? Anything I should look for in the contract/lease that could cause some issues? Super excited to start this new journey, but a bit nervous since I'm completely new to this area of business.

multi-member SBA loan submission question
My wife's group is getting an SBA loan to build out a new office. There will be 9 members to this loan. Each member will obviously have to submit financials. She does not want to give the other members of her group a peak into our financial situation. She also does not want to ask how the process works as that would draw attention to this. How does this process typically work? Is there a way where she can submit our financials directly for the application or would he have to aggregate all our personal financial forms together before we make the submission? Thanks for the help!

Business Ideas
Hi, hope you are well. I'm 18 y/o and live in Scotland. I've got around a grand and a half in the bank, and I want to get that money working for me. I have no idea where to start or invest my money. I've looked into the vending machine business but I do not think it would be profitable in any local areas. My target is to bring in £100 a week profit, any business ideas or places you recommend I should invest? Thank you for your time.

Kickstarter/ crowdsourcing capital
Has anyone here used kickstarter or other crowdsourcing techniques to raise money to start or buy a business? I have an offer to buy a biz and I would need to raise ~$80k. I was denied a loan by my bank (based on biz valuation) and the owner is only willing to finance about $6k. I have run crowdsourcing campaigns before for non profits, but somebody told me doing one for a commercial endeavor is “crass”. Thoughts? Experiences?
