Did I just stumble upon a good idea?
Hello I am looking for a specific type of bounce house for my son's bday party. I have only found 2 that service my area and both are booked atleast 1 month out. They charge $350 for 4 hours. I can purchase the entire set-up for \~$1000 online. I would get my money back if i rent it out 3 times. Only 2 times if I consifer myself my first customer. Do you think I should just purchase my own, since I already need it atleast once? I figure insurance would be about $50 per event. I travel my surrounding area frequently to visit family in every direction every weekend, so I think i can "eat" the transportation costs since I can visit family in the areas i would provide the service.

how to tell a employee to speed up or he may loose his job
My boss hired a new employee around 3 weeks ago to pack our products, he's only part time (10-1) and he's spot on with packing we haven't had any issues apart from his speed. our store averages 2- 5 orders and amazon is around 5-15 orders a day and he has to pack them, I can get them done in 3-4 hours or so but the new guy only packs 3-5 orders in the 3 hours he's here. Am I'm training him and my boss suggested I tell him to speed up or he won't be working here much longer as he's still in probation. Whats the best way to tell him to speed up, I don't want to say he may lose his job. My thinking is I tell him he's doing great and he hasnt had any mistakes as of yet but he needs to pick up the pace abit.

Anyone ever hired a software developer? Heard it’s either a money pit or a massive advantage
I own a remote financial planning/tax firm that focuses on young, high earning professionals in tech. Looking to get a custom integration of mailchimp and a financial planning software I pay for created. Just looking to get phone/email in exchange for free access to expert software. Wondering if anyone has ever hired an engineer on to create a custom integration?

How to survey local population to see if there is interest in opening a certain type of business there?
Hi! I'm playing around with the idea of opening a local spa/sauna type place. There's a lot of logistics to think about/figure out, etc. but one such thing I want to check is if people in my town would even be interested in such a thing (why waste time if there's no interest obviously). I was wondering if y'all had any thoughts on what's the best way to survey people in the town if they'd be interested? Standing on the main street with flyers/maybe a booth with handouts to attract people in to talk with them? Going door to door? Thanks!

What actions can you make looking at your financial statements?
I’m trying to understand accounting for my business as I realised every failed business I’ve ever had was because of this. I’ve heard people saying that financial statements show you which levers to pull in your business - can someone please give an example of some the levers? Also, are you guys running financial reports every week to look at profit/cashflow. How do you plan moving forward looking at this?
