Starting a small cleaning business
I'm a new mother and childcare is non-existent, and if it is available, it's expensive to the point of my job would pay for childcare and that's about it. I've toyed with this idea for a while. I would like to start a small cleaning business. I'm in a rural area, and the biggest town over does have small cleaning businesses, but from my investigating they don't go out to the smaller towns nearby. They do have bigger more corporate office cleaning businesses. I would like to offer more natural cleaning using more natural and healthier products. That would be my niche. I don't have a lot to invest in this, but for now I would be happy to have it be a little side hustle. I need an LLC (still thinking of business names), will look into getting insurance, a website, taking card payments, etc. Does this sound like something I can make a reality? Any tips for someone starting out?

Was owning a business your first time managing people?
I've never managed people in my career until I was a business owner. Now that I'm the boss, I realized how shitty of an employee I was and the shit my past bosses had to put up with. When I complain about an employees lack of attention to detail or coming in late, I just think to myself "man I used to do the same thing" I also realize why I was never promoted to a manager lol But it took me running my own business to really take pride in my work and do beyond the bare minimum. I'm just way more motivated to earn significantly more through doing good work in my own business vs working hard for a measly 4% salary raise working for someone else.
