How do I get a new employee for the highest paid position in my company, while advertising the salary, and not piss of the rest of the people that work for me?
I have a longtime general manager that is leaving us for a new position. I'm looking to replace this general manager pretty quickly, so my first thought was to advertise a position on Indeed or something similar. But to be competitive with all of the other positions out there, I want to show the salary, which is likely around $100k. We have lots of blue collar and lower paid positions, and this is probably the highest paid position that we have. How do we get a new person in here without me pissing off the rest of my staff with this larger pay? I thought about a head hunter, but as many of you know, they are crazy expensive for what they do. Does anyone else have any ideas?

is QuickBooks Desktop getting worse? Is there something better outside of Intuit?
Is Intuit making Quickbooks desktop worse? They cut off my banks connectivity with the 2021 software and the only fix is to upgrade to the 22 software for $700. Then they make you sign into their web account every few weeks or they lock the desktop software. I understand the company probably wants to get more people on the web based subscription service, but have they decided to make the desktop unusable in that aim? Is there a better desktop software that others are using that has similar functionality?
