Is there any reason to get a federal or state EIN if you're a Sole Proprietor?

I understand that you can use SS to do business if you're just a sole proprietor and there is no need to get an EIN, but is there a benefit if you DO get an EIN? I see that it's required when you start employing others, but what if you don't employ anybody but yourself? Has anyone run into any issues where they NEED to get an EIN? One big concern of mine is **banking**. I know some business-oriented bank accounts require that I have some official business documents in order to start a business bank account, but what documents would you even receive?

What part of creating a business plan was most difficult or confusing?

I was talking with a friend over drinks the other night and we were discussing business plans. We have friends and clients who complain about business plans. So we were pondering what people today find most challenging when putting a plan together. If you’re willing to share I’m very curious what your experience has been. What did you struggle with? Did you finish the plan? How long did it take, or when did you give up? Always interesting to hear what others experience, both experienced and new entrepreneurs.

Wyoming holding LLC , bank account in Texas.

I’m looking at opening a WY holing LLC as the parent of the TX operating LLC I’m looking to start. As I understand from reading, I’ll need two separate bank accounts: 1 for the Holding LLc(parent) and 2nd for the Operating LLC(subsidiary). My question: would a bank in Texas let me open a Business account for a Wyoming LLC? Or would I have to physically goto Wyoming to open a local bank account? Has anyone gone through such a process?

Cheesecakes at retail - store share

Hello all, Need yoyr help as we are totally new to this. As a next step for our small cheesecake business, wife and I are in discussion with some retailers. One of the retailers is asking for a 25% on gross. We were wondering if this is an acceptable cut. Our cost is high, due to low volume that we do so we may not be able to save much unless the volume increases, which we hope to achieve with the collaborations. So in your view, is 25% an acceptable share for retailers in Canada (Calgary to be specific)? Thank you!

Does a dollar make a difference? (POP-UP EVENTS)

Hi friends, I'm pricing my jewelry for a few pop-ups this month and am torn between these two prices for earrings: $20 each or 2 for $35 or $19 each or 2 for $35 I'm not sure if $1, in this case, is a deal-breaker for some customers' purchasing decision? I've done some research in the past that's based on the $19.99 pricing principles and just wanted to get your take on it - if you have tried this out or have had success in it. Also, in the past I've always done $18 or 2 for $30 which performs well but I feel like I am selling myself short. My pricing on my website is $22. At Pop-Up's I always give a discount. Thank you all for any insight/opinions.

Closing a business

Hello I have started a llc two years ago and the business has made no money. I was wondering what’s the process to shutting down the business for now and reopen it later after I get more research done and redoing the brand.
