Missing lugnut

Just found I had a missing lugnut 180mi after getting my wheels balanced and rotated. It's on the front wheel and only 1. I know the potential damages that can accure. The auto shop says they will get me a new one. So I have another 180mi trip back home with no lugnut. My question is... Should I leave it missing in the front wheel? Or replace 1 from the back wheel and put it in the front? My car is rear wheel drive. I don't know if that would make a difference on having 1 missing in the front or back.
