It’s a new day and I am ready to move forward. For those that don’t know, my mom went full throttle into Qanon the last few months. I reached out to her this morning with love and hope to move forward from this. I haven’t heard back. To the many of you who I’ve heard from that are dealing with similar, I hope your family and friends come back to you too. Let’s let love guide us forward. I’m so ready for a future where I’m not doom scrolling and waiting for another show to drop.

In high school, one of my classmates made what to her was probably a passing comment about how she could see me running for student government. I didn’t have the confidence to do so at any other time, but because of her suggestion I ran and I won! Years later I got to thinking about it and you know what? I never would have done it without her suggestion. Words are powerful! Today I wrote a post about how what we say and show can change the course of others lives. I’m looking at you kamalaharris ! Regardless of politics, a woman of color serving as our Vice President should m be meaningful to all of us and I’m sharing why. Link in profile.
