February always throws us a curveball here in the PNW & batter up here it comes. I woke up to the farm under a blanket of snow this morning. I’m ready for spring but winter isn’t quite done with us just yet. It’s gonna be a cold one this week. #flowerfarmer #flowerfarm #flowerfarming #dahlias #dahlia #thefarmhouseflowerfarm #summerflowers #freshflowers #localflowers #cutflowers #flowers #flowergarden #pnw #stanwood #washingtonflowers #flowerfield

Tonight we walked the farm and made our big list of tasks to accomplish this week: mulch the hedgerows, prune the hydrangeas, finish pruning the roses, weed the cutting garden, divide the last few dahlias, transplant 8 apple trees… and right when I was starting to feel overwhelm creeping in I looked down and spotted these little cuties pushing up through the grass in the orchard. I have no idea why these guys are flowering so darn early. Maybe they knew I needed a reminder to slow down and just breathe. #ayearinflowers
