Some preschools focus heavily on "school readiness." While the kids might seem ready when they start school, that can backfire by 4th grade. Researchers say it's better to let little children play. @anya1anya https://t.co/fwpJDgDDi3

Aggression is certainly a behavior we don’t like to see in our kids. But instead of being an outright misbehavior, it’s actually a SYMPTOM of a BIGGER issue. Read on for 5 Strategies to Curb Child Aggression: https://t.co/CUUbbrJMrv

4. We are their safe space. All day long, our kids try to hold it together at school, among their friends, classmates, & teachers. If they seem to fall apart on us when they get home, it’s because they know they can trust us to handle it. @guilty_mama https://t.co/mJiY4vKtEe

My son will not stop calling us idiots/stupid and I don’t know how to stop it
My 3 (almost 4) year old son has been calling us idiots/stupid for months now when something happens that he doesn’t like and I’m at my wits end. I have no idea where he learned these words, we certainly don’t call him that and I can’t think of a time I’ve ever said it in front of him (if ever those aren’t my “swear” words of choice). I tell him no? Idiot. I ask him to get dressed and he doesn’t want to? Stupid. Last week his preschool teacher informed me that he called HER an idiot and that’s my final straw. How on earth do I handle this? We take his tablet when he says it, we do timeouts, we’ve tried everything I can think of (we don’t spank though). Any advice? We have a one year old that is starting to talk and she’s a little parrot so it’s only a matter of time until she starts saying it too.

UPDATE Wife wants to let son sleep while diaper is filled with poop.
[originall post ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Parenting/comments/swlie2/wife_wants_to_let_son_sleep_while_diaper_is/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share ) Hey I just want to make a quick update about the last two days, I talked to my wife about it, and as I'm the one doing the nightshift, I'm also doing the diapers no matter what, I tried some of your tips, easy access body ( worked for me) and some of the skincare tips as well. He's sleeping way better now. His rash is almost gone, and he's not popping anymore during his sleep. But I'm a little bit surprised that I'm getting such a backlash as a dad in this sub for just existing. Most of.the messages were good tips but some experts think that we dads don't do shit, and are lazy af. But that's not the case for every dad... Just be nice. Peace.

TIP: One of the best ways to give kids practice in real-world kindness is to serve others. Get the whole family involved to serve people in need. #positiveparentingsolutions
