Time for Peonies & Bearded Irises and I’ve got to say I’m on board with this season!

We spend a lot of time like this, crouched down observing the crops, looking for signs of trouble or success. This week the birds decided they like eating freshly sprouting sunflower seeds which is not something we usually have trouble with. So, I think we’re going to need to do another planting to make up for their hungry damage. These seeds are precious and were sent to us by a very talented grower who’s been working on breeding a colored teddy bear type. You’re going to freak out when you see it! I think we will have to cover the whole field until they get rooted in enough to withstand the birds. #floretseeds

Farmer florist...... this is what it looks like! 🤪 With 3 weddings in the past 10 days it’s been all about the brides & getting more plants in the ground. My last delivery is today, this one was yesterday’s & I never share before the bride gets to see 😉 but tomorrow we’re back to our regular Saturday flower sale at the farmstand. Happy Friday flower people! I’ve been a little quiet over the past week as it’s been pretty hectic dealing with some chaotic weather patterns, planting, planning for 2021 & 2022, continuing expansion, getting ahead of bug issues, hunting woodchucks, and the list goes on!
