Sometimes you just need to stop and watch the clouds roll by... on Mars. Cloudy days are rare here because the atmosphere is so thin and dry, but I've been keeping my cameras peeled and wanted to share some recent pictures with you. https://t.co/Gtgz9Iu822 (1/4) https://t.co/iJOLmnXMVo

To weld or not to weld? Ultrasonic welding, a method that uses sound and friction to meld metals together at lower temps, could provide safer conditions in space when crews need to fix or create parts. This innovative tech is also being used here on Earth. https://t.co/RMYp4dBJ71 https://t.co/AO7CdPX7Lk

SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL LOOK AT THESE MARTIAN CLOUDS. No, seriously. These iridescent wisps are called "mother of pearl" clouds. The shimmery pastels result when the particles in the cloud are all nearly identical in size. https://t.co/Gtgz9Iu822 (3/4) https://t.co/Op73fHoTwH

I wandered lonely as a cloud on Mars... These are noctilucent or "night shining" clouds. They're high in the atmosphere and likely made of dry ice. Their crystals catch the fading light of the Sun, causing them to glow against the darkening sky. https://t.co/Gtgz9Iu822 (4/4) https://t.co/LCcRibSGjx

Cannonball! 🌊 Diving into the summer like... Our Orion spacecraft will carry astronauts to the Moon, and back home to Earth, where they'll splash down in the Pacific Ocean. To prepare for Artemis II, the first NASAArtemis mission with crew, engineers dropped test versions of Orion into the Landing and Impact Research Facility Hydro Impact Basin at NASA_Langley. The test series simulated a few landing scenarios in as close to real-world conditions as possible. On May 20, in the fourth and final water impact test, the test spacecraft was pulled back 135 feet and up 80 feet, swung, then dropped into the hydro impact basin at 41 miles per hour.
