Who are you taking with you?👇 The initiative is being run by the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) - in conjunction with Trailfinders and Qatar Airways - and is offering up 200 return flights from the UK and Ireland to Adelaide for just £10 (or €10, for applicants from Ireland). To be eligible, you must have a valid Working Holiday Visa and must purchase an Adelaide Starter Package, which covers some accommodation on arrival, as well as access to a tax file number and bank account (a three-day pack is priced from £171/€218). Applicants must be aged between 18 and 30 in the UK, or 18 and 35 in Ireland. You also need to be able to jet off from Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Adelaide before 30 September. It's hoped the initiative will encourage working holidaymakers to return to Australia and plug employment gaps after Covid-19 lockdowns saw borders closed.

Do you think this extra day should be here to stay? 👇 This year's extra day off - marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee - is set to take place on the 3rd of June and business leaders have urged Boris Johnson to make it permanent. The move is being backed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and business groups the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Hospitality UK. They argued that the new holiday would provide an economic boost after Covid. Research by PwC also says government figures have overestimated the cost of a new bank holiday by about £500m. The Chancellor Rishi Sunak is set to consider the proposals and is said to be onside, according to The Telegraph 👀

Harry Billinge, of St Austell, Cornwall, passed away aged 96 following a short illness last month - 76 years after storming Gold Beach. After WWII Billinge spent the rest of his life raising money for charity and ensuring the sacrifices made by his fallen comrades was never forgotten. Last year he travelled back across the Channel to support a tribute recording the names of all 22,442 service personnel who died under British command on D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. And after collecting at least £50K towards the construction of the memorial, he said he was incredibly moved to see the names of his fallen friends carved in stone during the unveiling. To pay tribute to his dedication and service, the streets of his home town were lined with well-wishers seeing him off on his final journey ❤️ RIP to a real hero, Harry Billinge 🕊
