Rachel Fitzsimons thought she had found her cat Frankie, aged 16, lying dead on the nearby M6 motorway. She said: "The markings matched Frankie and we live close to the motorway, so we were sure it was him." The highway agency took the cat away from the road and to the vets where they were unable to scan the cat's chip. A few days after, when they thought Frankie had been cremated, the real Frankie strolled through the door, looking a little worse for wear, as if nothing had happened. Obviously, the family were over the moon they had got their cat back alive, but would like to know whose cat they have cremated. 📸 Rachel Fitzsimons
