Moving at the speed of fun… I can’t think of a better pace to keep when training for a big objective. Later this month I'll be heading out to Iceland in an attempt to cross the rugged interior in winter, a Fatbike expedition that has been on my mind for quite sometime after seeing the beauty the highlands region has to offer. Something pulls me there as I know it has always been seen as a proving ground for human powered exploration. I always find it funny and, well, interesting to train for such a remote objective in such a different environment. Californias winters are about the furthest thing from the Arctic.. but the training must go on all the same, best to do it places that inspire you. I have found the gravel roads near my home to be about as fun of an environment as one can ride on. I took off in my Nissan ROGUE yesterday afternoon for an epic sunset ride. The sky gave us more than we bargained for. Easily the best time of the day in winter. NISSANUSA #nissanrogue2021
