Twins born at 26 weeks
My husband and I welcomed our son and daughter to this world two days ago. Unfortunately they were born way earlier than we expected them and even though we were fully prepared for their arrival, they weren't. And at this point their lives are at risk. There isn't much we can do beside waiting and hoping that they'll be just fine. I haven't posted in this sub for a while but this seems like a right moment to get this off my chest and seek some support.

My co-worker for the next three months of paternity leave. Looking forward to spending so much time with her! Happy to take any tips from other dads that have done the same

Activities for 1 year olds
So we are quarantined form daycare for another week. My son just turned 1 and I looked on Pinterest and found these cute ideas for projects to keep him busy for a few minutes. Ordered stuff from target, got supplies from my mom. I just put some paint in a ziplock so he could “paint” and I tried these other activities and he doesn’t care lol. He would rather just take everything out of drawers and throw it on the floor, and play with kitchen items and the Christmas presents we still have out. Anyway - is there any activities to really do with a 1 year old boy who likes to just destroy stuff? Or should I just let him do what he wants?

6 month old
I'm a stay at home dad, my wife is active duty Air Force so I'm home with my daughter. Recently in the past month my daughter will absolutely not feed with me, I try everything. She is formula fed and won't take the bottle when I try. I've tried every position possible to ensure she's comfortable but just rejects the bottle. We just started incorporating solid foods and when I put her in her high chair she doesn't want to feed. She'll go from 7am-5pm with maybe a couple bites of solids and couple bites of rice cereal mixed with formula. But the moment mom gets home she takes the bottle right away,, I'm frustrated/scared she's going to start losing weight or malnutrition. She's a healthy weight and her pediatrician isn't worried but as a father I most certainly am. Should I worry? What am I to do? Thank you.

I wanted to share a short, illustrated story about a koala and a kangaroo I wrote for my family, with pics they can color in. For anyone looking for a family friendly little story with a positive message.

Another lesson of this past week may be that it has not been such a great idea for civics and history classes to be reduced or eliminated in so many of our schools.

Having trouble keeping LO awake, any advice?
My little squish is most of the time really easy to care for. Unfortunately once my squish decides to sleep it is D\*\*\* near impossible to wake her the heck up. NOTHING seems to work from touch to light to sound. It's actually starting to become a problem. She's started to fall asleep in the middle of feedings or skip them for another 3 hours. My poor bf and I have resorted to stripping her to feeding her (only works half the time). I'm taking her to the doctor next week. However my family has started getting nit-picky about her not being in clothes and how I'm freezing her. I don't strip her past her onesie and I don't strip her more than I have to. The house is also kept on the toasty side in general. But my folks don't understand how impossible it is to wake her up! Currently a bath is the only guaranteed way to wake her up and I don't want to nor will I bathe her every time I need to feed her.
