to shave or not to shave?
Hello everyone, I have a dilema. My daughter who is 13 doesn't shave her legs. I have had a few family members suggest for her to shave. My stance on this issue is if she wants to shave she will and they should mind their own body hair. I would like for her to shave but I don't think it's something that's necessary or something that should be forced. She has shaved her legs before but doesn't keep up with it or seem to care about it . I don't know if it has anything to do with it but she isn't t a girly girl and leans more toward the Tom boyish side. Please tell me if you've encountered this situation and did you do. Btw we live in USA if that matters. Thank you all

how do I let my daughter know I know she's gay?
My almost 13 year old won't come out to us, her dad and I. We know. She doesn't know we know. She has expressed feelings to her best friends mom that she is afraid we will love her less. That is not the case. We will not love her any different. This is not a problem in our house. I guess my question is how do I deal with her not wanting to tell us? Or I guess more specifically, how do I make it comfortable for her to tell us or let her know that we already know.

There is an adventure play area for the kids, but by far and away the best place to take them is the Cadbury Cafe, which is choc full (!) Read the full article: Things to do in Birmingham with kids ▸ https://t.co/LX6nDuKPuZ #familytravel #birmingham #daysout https://t.co/t9WRyGuCnl

I think I’m having a mental health emergency but I’m scared to tell my doctor because I don’t want my babies to be taken away
I have 4.5 month old twins. Im spiraling deeply out of control, I’ve already been put on a mood stabilizer. Im having thoughts of hurting myself. I had to pull over because the desire to drive all 3 of us off a local bridge into a lake was so strong I thought I would do it. Earlier I had to get gas and I left the babies in the car hoping someone would steal the car. I just wish someone would kill me and get it over with. I need help but I’m scared to tell the doctor who prescribed my mood stabilizer because I can’t have her calling CPS. I don’t know what to do.

Are home births more dangerous than hospital births?
I’m pro-hospital birth and have no desire to birth at home. But I keep seeing anecdotal debates on the safety of home births and I’m curious if anyone knows of data that supports or refutes the idea that home births may be more dangerous, leading to more injury/disability for mom & baby or higher infant/maternal mortality.

Kinder son wants to dress up for school
Our kinder going boy has been about princesses for the past 2 years now. He even borrows his sisters princess costumes to wear at home. We don’t pay too much attention to it. Though his 8 year old sister doesn't like it and occasionally mentions that it's weird. Later this week, his class has dress up like your favorite fairy tale character. And he wants to wear Rapunzel dress to school. Worried about how his friends would react. He is also very sensitive, and gets offended even if someone looks at him in a way he doesn't expect. Oh, and we are in Texas. Not sure if I want ideas or if I am just venting.

Most parents know that telling our kids they can't have screen time is not realistic when we all have busy lives or are trying to work from home. So what can a parent do about #screentime? why must toddler wean from bottle by 15 months but not breastfeeding
Genuine question since I'm not really understanding the argument. If breastfeeding until 2+ is acceptable, why do peds insist on weaning by 12-15 months from a bottle but not the boob? Wouldn't the dependence issues be the same? I'm not saying that toddlers should be on a bottle, I just wonder why comfort nursing is acceptable but all the milestone guides insist that comfort bottle feeding isn't?

Welp 😂😩
I decided to do some self care derma-planing with new scrapey things. Welp. I wasn’t paying attention and shaved part of my already horrible right eyebrow. I went to a henna place to see if I could make it less noticeable and nope. I am waiting for my 21 YO son to notice and harass me in a loving way. Please have a good laugh with me and have a great Wednesday!

Toddler doesn’t eat
Really need some help or advice on meals for my picky toddler! He’s only 21 months and he refuses to eat anything that’s not a peanut butter sandwich or Go squeeze (fruit/veg pouch) and that’s practically it. He hasn’t gained weight since October (granted he’s been sick for a whole month also) and the doctor said to maybe start him on a toddler formula. I feel like an awful mother, I have offered my kid different meals but also will add his familiar favorite with a different fruit or vegetable every day even though he’ll just end up throwing it on the floor or simply says no. He also won’t eat dinner even if it is a peanut butter & jelly sandwich. He was an amazing eater before and now he has just declined so much I don’t know what else to do.
