Pandemic Socialization for babies/toddlers
I have a 9 month old, and it’s entirely possible she won’t get to socialize with anyone outside of her parents and grandparents until she’s 18 months to 2 years old. Her whole life has been during the pandemic. Is there any science on socialization when their social circle is this limited and doesn’t include other babies/children? I have no developmental concerns, I just wonder and worry about what impact this social isolation will have.

The other day my husband took away our son's iPad as a punishment, then left me with a screaming child as he went for a run. I just want to go on the record saying this was a giant dick move on his part. Don't do this to your partner.

This is one of my favorite photos from last week. It’s President Biden with his grandson Beau. So much loss and hope in one image. Like a mirror of what so many Americans are feeling right now. I’m leaning on the hope. 🇺🇸

I don't know about you, but seeing as we're all so well versed in home schooling now, I can't not look at every day events like watching TV and using them as learning opportunities (if you add the 5 episodes of paw patrol to the 7 you watched of blaze, how many hours of TV did you watch this morning whilst daddy was on conference calls?) Take this for example - What happens when you take 2 identical objects of equal size, mass and weight and place them equidistant from a raised central pivot point? The answer (much to the twins annoyance who were trying to make a fallen tree into a seesaw) is absolutely sod all. Sorry girls, physics obviously hates you and doesn't want you to enjoy yourself. Don't blame me.....blame science. #itsscience #identical #fod #dadlife #homeschooling #itsphysics #education #crapseesaw

What’s your “self care” luxury?
Upon becoming a parent and now a single parent, I’m not ashamed to admit I let myself go a bit. I’ve been working on myself in general and I am truly single and not dating. Since it’s just kiddo and I, I stopped wearing my cute pajama sets and nightgowns because who’s going to see it right? Wrong! I’ve started phasing out my shapeless sleep shirts for the cute sleepwear I used to love. This is my self care luxury. Even if no one is here to see it, I like it and it makes me feel good. Whats your “self care” luxury?

Does anyone else get freaked out for a second when you see a pic of yourself at a party etc. from two years ago and you're not wearing a mask? Thanks for the terror, FB memories.
