When did you stop tracking your LO’s diapers, bottles etc.?
My husband and I have used the Huckleberry app almost religiously since the first week our babe was born. From diapers, bottles, medicine, bath time, and occasionally sleep, we will use the app to track the days info. It’s a great tool for me and DH so I still intend to use the app for certain things, but it feels less necessary as she gets older. Whether you used an app or just old school pen/paper, what information did you track with your LO? When did you stop?

At these times I envy religious people
It must be nice to firmly believe there is someone who loves you unconditionally, not just for the favors you do for the PTA or for the food you made or the physical affection you give someone or the shift you covered. Not sure about all the baggage that usually comes with religion but the love part must be nice.

Is baby brain real?
As the title, is there a genuine reason for why I’m suddenly such a ditz? I used to be an intelligent, capable person and ever since my son arrived 8 months ago I don’t think I could keep house plants alive as I’d forget they need watering. I cannot retain any information that isn’t directly related to my child’s survival and wellbeing. I struggle with even basic decision making (like what to make myself for breakfast) because I don’t have the capacity to consider the options. Is there a hormonal explanation or some kind of biological change in brain function or something like that, or is it just a combination of overwhelming life change and sleep debt? A year ago I would’ve been able to google this myself but now I need other clever people to explain it to me like I’m 5! 😂🤷🏼♀️

I love my baby but man this is exhausting!
How do people crave for this? And enjoy it? It’s non stop day and night. I just want to put her down so that I can do something else, anything else god sakes.I am not enjoying this endless cycle one bit guys! And I feel so guilty.

Another post about disrespectful old people doing whatever the heck they please
I let my grandparents come visit and hold my baby (less than 2 weeks old) under the condition that they wore masks when they held her. Naturally my grandmother, who has a huge history of boundary stomping, pulled down her mask to kiss the baby’s head. My dad quickly called her out on it, and she said sorry, but it was obvious that she knew what she was doing would not go over well. I took the baby back, and excused myself to nurse. We made a pit stop in the bathroom to wash her head. It’s just so frustrating. I let them visit because “you don’t know how much time they have left,” and I asked for one simple thing. I hope they enjoyed the visit, because they’re not getting another one anytime soon.

Moving from crib to toddler bed: how to make room safe?
We are transitioning our toddler (a few months shy of 2) to a bed soon because he’s too tall for his crib. I’m wondering how to make the room safe for him at night. I can take literally everything out of the room, but that seems like overkill and impractical, so I’m looking for advice. Outlets will be covered and cords will be hidden or secured. Blinds are safe. Door and closet will be toddler proof. I have two concerns: 1. There is an armchair and two other items that very low to the ground (like max 1.5 feet tall) and not particularly heavy. Do I need to take out the armchair? Is it better to secure such low to the ground items to the wall? 2. I have an air purifier and humidifier in there that are kept within his reach. Should I just remove these? Seems like it might be best to take these out for now until he’s older and can be trusted to avoid them.

Fuck fuck fuck. So I found a small lump in my boob. Got it checked and on Friday I had a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy. Today went back for the results and it's fucking breast cancer. Got surgery planned for just over 2 weeks then depending on its severity radiotherapy and or chemo... Fuck! Just sat here cuddling my 8 month old twins while my 3 year old is snoring and cuddling my husband next door and want to scream at this stupid disease

Sick kids? Fuck you, mothers!
It’s all 100% your job. Sick yourself? Been sick for an entire fucking month? It’s HILARIOUS that you’d even attempt to take care of yourself! Think men in general should shoulder more responsibility? TOO BAD! These men GOTTA WORK. No paid leave for them, so you’ll fucking starve if you need a nap because we all know prices aren’t going down and wages aren’t going up! American society (i.e. the actual rich people) in Tiny Tim’s voice: Get fucked, every one!

Gas or reflux
My LO is 1 month old and lately she has constantly been grunting, straining, and turning red when trying to pass gas or poop (I assume). I did mention to the pediatrician yesterday that I was concerned about reflux, but she didn’t seem to agree. We do bicycles, tummy massages, and gripe water currently but she still struggles. Has anyone dealt with this? Do I need to push on the reflux issue? I combo feed btw.
