Today my husband corrected me.
I sang the lyrics to “Let it go” wrong. For those of you familiar with the song I said “snow” instead of “sky”. My husband stops me, “it is sky because it rhymes with cry, and they will never see her cry”. Dead serious. Motions to take baby, and continues singing the song in my place. Thankfully he was there. Apparently he listens to “Let it go” often with our son. He told me it is his go to, and now I know why our LO instantly stops crying when that song comes on (we have a LO playlist).

Exciting news I can't share on FB!
So, we bought a house! Sunday we moved in. Sunday I also took a pregnancy test and it came back positive! My husband finally agreed we could try for a kid and bam, literally the first month it happened! And the timing is pretty darn good!

Taking baby to grocery store
My baby is 11 weeks old today and has had her vaccinations for a few weeks now. My husband and I are thinking about taking her to the grocery with us for a short trip this weekend. My husband is so great for me as I want to take her places but naturally have anxiety as this is our first baby! Do I leave her in her car seat and place that in the shopping cart? She’s not old enough to control her head so I don’t really know where to put her other than leaving her in her car seat. Any advice appreciated 💕

Shoplifting
Just caught our 15-year-old daughter shoplifting at a well-known cosmetics chain. She admitted to doing it pretty much as soon as we confronted her, and seemed to be truly aware that what she did was wrong and was willing to make amends. I would like for her to return the items to the store and apologize, but I'm also a bit concerned about having her do that. I guess I am mostly concerned about how the store manager will react, and what, if anything, the consequences might be. I know what has to be done but am looking for some advice on the best way to handle this. Thanks for giving this a read. \-Lost in the NW

My one and only things I’d do differently looking back
Took time every day to shower and get myself ready no matter my baby’s mood. I was so obsessed with being sure she never cried that I never took care of myself. And it took such a hit on my mood and self esteem. There were days/ weeks I didn’t even brush my hair. Looking back I should have just let her sit on her bouncer in the bathroom until I finished my thing. Fussing or not, baby will be fine for 10 minutes and it would have made a huge impact on my ability to mother and be patient.

How many hours a day does/did your newborn spend in your arms?
I spend all day holding my baby and only putting her down when necessary. If I put her in the swing to do some dishes and clean up I physically miss her after 30 minutes and have to pick her back up. I love the snuggles and the contact naps, the eye contact during her wake windows, her facial expressions and the way she smells. My partner says I need to put her down and I'm spoiling her but I won't listen. I waited 9 long months for these moments. My body grew her from one tiny egg cell with 23 chromosomes to a whole mini human with a full head of curly hair and little dimples. She never even has to move out as far as I'm concerned, she can stay here with me forever.

Just another bromo appreciation post ✨
So annoyed with other subs. Just chiming in to provide insights or even asking genuine questions and just getting downvoted to shit or get judgmental comments. Fuck other subs. Bromo for life. ♥️
