My nightmare happened - I was blocked in on both sides of my car and couldn’t get the car seat in

I normally park in the boonies to ensure no one will park next to me if at all possible. I didn’t have that option for his doctors appointment today. The car to my left was on the line and the car to my right was over the line. I couldn’t open either door enough to fit in the seat. I stood there and actually started crying out of anger for a moment because it was so hot and it had been such a long night. Fortunately, I have a mini SUV and remembered I could put my back seat down and I actually crawled through the trunk to get his seat strapped in. Now I understand why people have mini vans. All that space and a sliding door?! Yes.

Do you know your child's blood type?

Hi, so a little background here... I am an American living in Pamplona Spain with my Spanish wife and 6 month old daughter. My daughter was born here in Spain. As far as I know back home in the US it is fairly common to know and/or be asked for your blood type. However, shortly after my daughter's birth I asked about her blood type and no one knows! The doctors told me that it isn't common here to find out and if they need to know then they will do a test for it but they won't test her unnecessarily. This seems like fairly critical information for me as her father to know. What about yall? Did you find out?

Frustrated with the pediatrician

My daughter has problems with digestion and serious collic and the pediatrician wants to switch her to a formula that would cost about $125.00 a week. This isn't reasonable really. My drug plan will not pay so the doctor thinks I should cancel her drug coverage with my work so we can use a drug plan covered by the government that would. However none of the other prescriptions she needs would have coverage if I did that. How does the doctor think this is acceptable?! It wouldn't solve a thing. They act like I'm choosing not to get this formula that may not even help her issues because I'm a bad mom. I just cannot find $500 a month for one twins formula. I have two babies to provide for. I guess I just needed to vent because I can't find a solution

I really need some breastfeeding advice

I just had my baby boy on the 21st and spent the first night home with him last night and it was rough. Since having him, he's a really good feeder but I have a really hard time staying awake. I start to nod off and can't help it. Last night I actually fell asleep while feeding for just under an hour, he was still latched but also asleep. Any of you pros have tips to make night feeding easier on me and baby?

He gets to go on a weekend trip with no notice but I never do

STBXH informed me yesterday that he would be going camping tomorrow for 3 days with some friends. Cool, so I guess that means I’ll handle everything with our 2 1/2 year old daughter while he is gone. I have felt like a single mom for almost 2 years anyway (one of the reasons why we are divorcing), but I can’t help but be frustrated by how unfair it is that he gets to just up and go with only 48 hours notice when the last time I tried to have a weekend away he said “I’m not your babysitter” and big surprise- no weekend trip for me. What a selfish fuck.

5yr old with phone

My five year old got a phone from his mom before he came to stay with me for the summer so she can call him...not knowing this is getting to be a problem! She calls him every single day during all hours of the day and will even cuss me out if he doesn’t answer his phone sometimes...she thinks we hide or turn off his phone but REALLY REALLY he’s just being a normal kid running around and playing outside with his siblings. What’s your take on the whole cell phone situation? When he’s with her she set a certain time to call him and more than half the time she doesn’t answer.
