Am I in the wrong for breastfeeding my child in public?
My son has just turned two and is very small for his age. He is still breastfed. We were out for lunch today and he was fussing wanting me to feed him. I tried to pacify him but there was no use, that’s what he wanted and I knew he’d calm instantly. The restaurant was fairly full and the table next to me was obviously staring. Even when I looked back and smiled, they just turned their head. But the other table made a remark and stated that he was far too old and that I was putting them off their dinner as they felt sick - not directly to me but loud enough for me to clearly hear. I was absolutely mortified. I am extremely discreet when I feed him. You can’t see any boob or his mouth. I was alone with my two children so had no choice but to remain at the table as I couldn’t leave my other child alone to eat her food. I was holding back tears. Is it now only acceptable to feed a newborn?

Advice: Found weird porn on my (12) son's ipad
Hey so sorry I'm not really sure if this is allowed on this sub but if it's not please direct me wear to go. I F42 go through my son's iPad whenever he is acting strange. This started a few years ago when he came home crying from school but wouldn't tell me why, found out by going through his messages that he was getting bullied. Anyways that blew over and he's been ok but he started acting weird again. Checked his iPad and found porn of the Green M&M. Aside from that nothing else. I'm really worried this is going to develop into some weird fetish stuff but I'm not sure how to address it. My husband said ignore it and when he was his age, he looked at porn of Sonic the videogame and that it's totally normal

Put a finger down if you can say no to sex with your husband and he actually respects that no and you two have a pleasant evening with no guilt trips or tantrums.
Oh look. Fingers are all still up. Huh.

What age does it become “easier” to take a long flight with your child?
I have a 7 month old and think I missed the window on flying when the baby is “easy”. At what age would you say it would be easy-ish to take your child on a long flight again?

Specific song(s) that mellows your kid?
Whenever our son starts to get worked up and we can’t seem to calm him down Jump In The Line-Harry Belafonte gets him to calm down. Every. Single. Time. There is also this 45 minute track of soothing noises I found on Spotify that works but it’s aim is to calm babies. Anyone else have a random song that seems to work no matter the circumstances?

Transitioning to second baby is so so hard... anyone else agree?
We just had out second baby 2.5 weeks ago and I totally expected it to be hard like every newborn is hard, but I’m finding this SO much more overwhelming than I could have imagined. How the hell do people do it with 2+ kids? How am I going to be able to do this? I’m so exhausted I can barely get myself out of bed. My PPA is awful and I feel so lost. Is anyone else struggling with this?

Get your illegal fireworks off MY property, assholes.
The past two nights my shitty neighbors have been throwing fireworks ONTO MY PATIO. They explode within a few feet of our bedroom window and wake up my kid. Rental company won’t do anything, said to call the cops. Called the cops yesterday and they never showed up. I have video and a bag of exploded firecracker chunks. My husband is in the military and does *not* react well to surprise explosions. Tonight he will be at work, for better or worse, around the time they have been setting them off. So if I confront them I’ll have to leave my terrified toddler inside alone. Normally I don’t pull the “my husband served this country” card but I can’t get past the irony that they’re CeLeBraTinG ThEiR fReEduMs by terrorizing a military family. What the hell do I do? Our grass is super dry and they lit a few patches on fire last night. It’s just luck that they’ve missed our patio furniture and brand new grill so far.

Tantrums at the Zoo and fuck SCOTUS.
It’s mild out today, a lot of people are out of town for the holiday weekend, so of course we thought going to the zoo would be a good idea. Husband, kiddo and I get there—and not even an hour into the trip, toddler keeps having meltdowns. Idk how we forgot the stroller, but boy next time I’ll remember it. Ended up cutting the trip super short. Feeling grumpy but I’ll get over it. And yet here we are, the U.S. is forcing people to go through parenting whether they want to or not. I can’t imagine going through these situations against my will. The end.

Pacifier to a Newborn
Hi there, First time posting here. I had my daughter last week, on Tuesday, and I and my wife have been struggling with this question. We don't want to give too soon the pacifier because we think that will difficult the breastfeed. What do you think? Our daughter was born at 38 weeks and we think she wants to eat every time. If it's not this is only addiction to suckling.

Do you let your pets sleep in the same room as your baby?
Since bringing my baby home 4.5 months ago, I haven't let my cat sleep in our bedroom at night because of fear/paranoia thst he will somehow jump into the crib and break the baby while I'm sleeping. Logically, I know this is irrational (for context, I am a highly anxious person), and I would like to let my beloved cat sleep on the bed again at night. Do you let your pets sleep in the same room as your babies?

Best baby logging app?
Hi there! We are about to have our first baby and my husband and I are curious as to which baby logging apps you experienced parents found to work best. Just a few things: 1) we would like to be able to track our baby but from separate accounts (if this is even possible) 2) he has an android, I have an iPhone 3) we would love for it to track at least diaper changes (#1s, #2s), feedings, and sleep Thank you so much in advance!

Am I going to far? taking away July 4th fireworks
Am I going too far in taking away the fireworks show? Son 8 has been misbehaving all day. With really bad inappropriate behaviors. He's been hitting his sister and violating our other safety rules we have established. He's been screaming, swearing and hitting his 10 yo sister as well. The rules he has broken usually in this amount have some type of activity removed, because it's not safe to bring him out in public. Is this too far? I really am worried about him running off or doing something else really impulsive. Please help
