Any Dads struggling with being overlooked in here?
Recently a new parent and my wife & I are so over the moon and overcome with love for our new arrival. The last few days however I’ve noticed I’m feeling low & a few things are starting to grind on me; - No matter how I do something with my child (holding them, rocking them to sleep, changing their nappy) my wife or her parents comment on how I should be doing it better - If I make a comment around feeling tired/hungry my wife then ‘one ups’ me constantly - Nothing I do is good enough (cooking/cleaning/tidying) - Nobody has asked how I’m doing once My child is only a few weeks old and I already feel like a ghost on this journey. I work so hard to provide, love & care for my family that I just wish to be left alone to be a Dad to my child. Any dad’s going through something similar?

I started taking care of myself again
So I bought a new perfume and, you guys, I'm in love! I haven't worn perfume since my oldest was born almost 6 years ago. Now I feel almost like myself again. I even wear it when I'm home all day and also to go to bed at night because, why not. I started taking good care of my skin. I used to have really bad skin. I couldn't leave the house without wearing tons of makeup to cover up all the redness and pimples. But I started following dermatologists on YT and learned what is good for my skin. Retinol, vitamin C, SPF, double cleansing at night, chemical exfoliators, adapelene, azelaic acid, all that good stuff. So yeah. My marriage is in shambles and some days it's hard to get out of bed, but hey, at least I smell good and my skin is glowing, am I right?

Bringing a baby to a winery?
What are everyone's thoughts on bringing a baby to a winery? Is there an age you think it becomes appropriate/inappropriate to do it or do you think it's not okay at all? If so, why? Also, where are you from? I feel like these opinions vary greatly depending on where you live.

Am I crazy for considering 2 under 2?
I had my 8 week postpartum check up today and was given the all clear. We talked about future pregnancies and since I had a c-section, when could that happen. Apparently that could happen now if I want since my period came back. My husband and I had already been discussing trying again when our daughter is a year old. My doctor said that while optimally 24 months between pregnancies would be ideal, there's not much more risk to me if I fell pregnant now. Now that being said, how insane are we? We're only 2 months in to parenthood so I'd like to hear about other's experiences.

i did not bounce back and probably won’t
i gained 70 lbs while pregnant, i stopped taking my adhd meds and the weight piled on like no other. lost 20 lbs the past few months. found out I am pregnant (happy!) again. but I didn’t bounce back at all. I don’t look like the influencers or other young moms (I’m 22) and I am so overwhelmed by my weight. I don’t recognize myself. I cant afford new clothes. I just…..I don’t know. I’m amazed at my body for creating life. I loved being pregnant but wow. Postpartum bodies really don’t get the same love… I’m just ranting about something that really isn’t that important in the big picture but for some reason I obsess over my weight like it’s my job. I wish I wasn’t like this.

WIBTA If I put a sign in the bathroom reminding people to flush
My daughter and her friends are all 13. They tend to stick to the basement which has a bathroom that I use daily. At least once a day I go to the bathroom and am greeting by a full toilet that needs flushing. I want to put a sign on the bathroom door that says "Did you flush?"; would that be a butthole parent thing to do? Her friends would see it....but they are also part of the problem. Thoughts?

Got a call from school today
My son's kindergarten teacher called me today to tell me my son is being violent in class. My son is not normally a violent person at all, normally he is a bit of a pushover. She said he is constantly hitting other students, throwing their belongings across the room, and even poked another student in the eye with a pencil. Thankfully the other student is okay! I am so beside myself with anger and grief. What do I do? He doesn't respond normally to discipline.

Baby whisperer bands
Does anyone one have music/bands that seems to soothe your baby instantly? My 4mo girl will stop any fuss and crying to the band Iron and Wine and quietly go to sleep listening to it, it's bizarre and quite useful 😂 Curious to know more baby relaxing bands out there

When will the cluster feeding slow down?
I have a 5 week old and it feels like he literally never stops eating. Just when i think he’s asleep and I put him down, he wakes up and wants more. Will I ever get a break? Lol
