Lesbian mum of 2 boys who knows nothing about boys
The title is pretty self-explanatory. I have a sister, no brother. My dad wasn't really around. All of my close friends are female. I've never had a boyfriend. 3 months ago I became a mum of 2 boys. What do I need to know about raising them? I've already realised that when I change their diapers they can pee on the wall behind them. Anything else I should to know? Give me your best tips please 😄

I’m all about getting a babysitter for date night…
But really we need a babysitter for the next morning when we’re hungover and exhausted from 2 drinks, good food, and going to bed later than 9pm. Never a dull moment with a 2.5 year old and 3 month old

New moms : was anyone absolutely terrified of labor/delivery and pain? How did you cope with it?
I want kids, and my fiancé and I have been trying but I’ve always been beyond terrified of giving birth. So terrified that it’s almost made me not want to have kids, but I know I truly want them - and I’m trying to get over this fear. I also know it’s different for everyone and obviously it’s not a walk in the park… but, was anyone super scared? What helped you work through it?

I just got the worst haircut EVER
It was a new hairdresser and he was by his own words “ADHD as fuck“. He started chitchatting the second I got in the chair and then literally forgot what he was doing while he still had scissors on my head. There’s a chunk of my bangs right in the front that’s an inch shorter than all the rest, one of my sideburns is chopped in half *vertically* like an upside down L, and the other one is basically missing. I wear my hair is super short so there’s no hiding any of this, so I guess I’m glad the days are getting cooler so I can wear a scarf for the next few weeks. Oh and of course, the absolute cherry on top of this shit sundae, don’t forget the pink tax. I don’t know what the fuck my gonads have to do with my haircut, I *literally* have the same cut and less hair than my husband but his is half what mine is at the same place. I wish to burn it all down with fire.

What can school leaders do to support professional development (PD) so that it impacts teaching and learning? A PD provider has an area of expertise, but the school leaders know the community, the faculty, and the students. @ADiLalor @edutopia https://t.co/gk8ecgDVvT

Childcare Help
I’m back to get more advice from you wonderful folk. I am taking the step to leave being a stay at home parent to getting a full time job. The issue is I have a kid in school and no childcare here does pick up/drop off. I’m in a new city so I have no family or friends to help. My husband works before we get up and doesn’t get back until after I would be done work. I’m certain our situation isn’t unique so how do you in similar situations do it?! My school aged child is not old enough to be allowed to walk (school policy, they won’t let them leave without a guardian) and no childcare has a bus stop near them from their school.

Son using N-Word at School
Title pretty much sums it up. My son is a 10 year old white child in a school with a majority African American population. All the kids are in this particular school because they have emotional regulation issues, and my son learned that word because other people at his school say it. (his father and I have never used that word in the 14 years we have been married, and certainly never in front of him). His teachers and I have a real concern for his safety, as these kids are already quick to act violently (as is my son). We have tried talking to him about why some students at his school say it and there are no issues but that he’s different from them and it’s a much bigger deal when he says it. I’m at a loss as to what to do, because my son likes to push peoples’ buttons, and he now knows this does that very well. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
