Incorporating yoga in daily life
I just started practicing hatha yoga (with a group insructor), and started reading a book on Yoga (by Mary Stewart). I'm trying to go beyond this and start living a bit more in accordance with principles I am reading about, but I am not sure how to do that. Do you have any tips on what I can do daily to incorporate yoga principles in my life?

Pain in ribs after cobra
Hi, I am a m34, was doing some cobra poses before going for a run and suddenly felt a crack in my ribs about 4cm under my left nipple. Pain about 5 out of 10, and after only small pain or even just discomfort in some positions. No visible bruising and shape changes. No extra pain when I press on it. Went to the run and workout anyway, could do most exersices without that place feeling extra painful. Cannot do any chest stretches or core workout, that does hurt. Although I tried gentle cobra today and it was ok. Just dont want to do any highli dynamic moves, everything slowly. After three days it still hurts (max 3 out of 10 in some positions, otherwisw just discomfort), as if someone punched me there. And I cannot lie on my left side. Do you think I should get it checked?

Why do I feel more stiff a few hours after doing yoga?
I’ve been doing yoga everyday for two months now. I usually do an hour to two hours a day. I start with a simple stretching hatha then I do vinyasa and then I finish with yin or restorative. Am I just doing too much? Should I skip a day here and there? Or is this normal? Note: I don’t feel sore. I feel stiff.

Cow Face Pose stretches your entire body—your shoulders and arms, your ankles, hips, thighs and back. In the pose, the folded legs are said to resemble a cow’s mouth; the elbows form the shape of a cow’s ears. https://t.co/AM0ufK7Zwz Clothing: @CALIAbrand https://t.co/6w9f7BC62F

First practice in 6 months
After not doing any yoga for a while, I resolved to get back into a regular practice again. I did a short session this morning, and wow! I can't believe how terrible my body felt. Everything is right, my muscles are weak, my balance is awful, I kept losing focus and thinking about other things. Is this how I feel everyday!? How on earth was I managing? Its astounding how the body can get into such a state, but even worse, how I don't even notice that I'm progressively getting into such a state, and just accept the stiffness, bad posture, aches and pains as normal. I'm looking forward to feeling strong and loose and in touch with my body again!
