Is character clothes a bad thing ?
So today at nursery I dropped my daughter off in her hey duggee dress (she loves him atm) and my neighbour (we don't get on she blanks me when I try and make an effort) scoffed and told her friend she wouldn't dare put her daughter in character stuff it's tacky. I didn't know this was a thing I dress her in things that make her happy/ look nice I think it looks sweet but I'm just abit confused is it such a time to put character clothing on ? (My daughter is 2)

Is 8 months too young to go trick or treating?
Like the title suggests my son is 8 months and this is his first Halloween yes I could wait and take him next year but then it won't be his "first". I really just want to dress him up in a cute costume take pictures and go to a couple houses maybe 5 max. It's not about the candy it's about the experience. We'll also be at my mom's house with my brother who's taking my 3 year old niece trick or treating so we want to be a part of it you know? Is it ok to do this or is my baby too young? Will people think we're weird? Thanks.

Minor hockey has returned, and this hockey parent is thrilled. "I’ll be waking up at 6 am to be in those stands, freezing, but cheering for as long as I can." 🏒 Read "The pandemic made me realize how much I love being a hockey parent" here: https://t.co/sdl6Gb0nW6 https://t.co/YsevpxxJzb

I’m ONLY 33!
Jolie (10): “Mom, didn’t you like not have tv growing up? Cuz it wasn’t “discovered” (think she meant invented) yet?” Juliana (11): “they did have tv! It just didn’t have color yet and like they didn’t have HBO and stuff” ……who wants them? Anyone?? Anyone at all??

NORMALISE BED SHARING
I’m from South Asia and all my life I’ve seen babies sharing bed with their parents from generation to generation. Sleeping separately isn’t even a thing there, it would be culturally inappropriate and tbh it never even occurred to me that I would be told to put baby alone in a bed separate from me. But ever since I came to US I’ve been shamed endlessly for bed sharing with my baby!!!!! Being sleep deprived is okay here and moms are told it’s normal, just deal with it but when one can safely bed share and get much needed sleep and baby sleeps a lot better as well, they are being shamed for doing so! Bed sharing has been absolutely life saving for me. My baby sleeps in long stretches at night, me and my husband sleep well as well! I’m super content and enjoying the time with the baby instead of being a zombie and dreading my life. Just a rant because I’m tired of everyone seeing bed sharing as a sin!!!

My 2 year old daughter can't make the "x" sound
For example... six is sick. So we're driving somewhere for a playdate with someone who stresses me tf out. I'm an anxious mess because I know this is going to end with me getting criticized for everything I do, nearly in tears the whole drive. We get there, I take a deep breath, open my daughters door, and she says "FUCK IT!" Stunned, I'm like "what did you say?" She says "fuck it!" I look at her for a minute and go "yeah you're right" and shake all the anxiety off of me. Who cares what this person thinks anyways, fuck it. Later she comes up to me with her hairtie falling out saying "mama FUCK IT" and I realized that she was actually just asking me to "fix it." But man maybe I do deserve to be criticized for my parenting because instead of correcting my daughter when I thought she said "fuck it" I was just like "yeah dude totally." I'm a good mom I swear. Although the cat jumped on her earlier and she for real did say "don't bite me fucker!" so then again maybe not.

What can an 11mo old eat?
I’m having a hard time figuring out what’s appropriate beyond scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, mashed avocado, banana. Any tips? I’m absolutely terrified of choking and I think it’s stopping me from expanding my daughter’s palate. She’ll be 11 months old in about 2 weeks.

Really Tired of This
I'm getting tired of people not wanting to understand Covid precautions. My parents are both vaxxed. LO is 6.5 months. They want to visit tomorrow, mostly because it will be one of two last visits befoe they go to Florida for the winter and they won't see baby until May. My dad said he has a cold and my husband and I asked if he could get a rapid test. My mom texts me and said dad won't be coming but she will. I asked if he got tested, answer was no. It's like she doesn't realize she could still be a carrier. I don't want to tell her not to come but I'm kinda mad he didn't get a rapid test. He's retired, so he has all the time.

I let my kids chant "today is bullshit" for about five minutes
Because today is bullshit. - Went to go pay bills and get lunch. They want Sonic, ok sure, I pull up the app and they are out of EVERYTHING my kids wanted. Supply shortages and shipping issues are effecting everything everywhere. - got through the tears. Decided to get McDonald's, I really didn't want to cook today. They don't have ice cream (ofc) so more tears. - get the happy meals, get home, and yup. No toys in the happy meals. Also my two month old is feverish and fussy from her vaccines yesterday so I can do exactly none of the things I need to do unless I strap her to me. And my hip has started to pop out again, painfully, for the first time since I was pregnant. Today is bullshit.
