The glacier-fed rivers and streams you can find in the South-Western part of Iceland are pretty spectacular. The rich detail, color, and contrast they provide to the surrounding, often barren, landscape help make these kinds of aerial views extremely vivid. While you can fly your drone in some of these locations (check local rules), I ended up hiring volcanopilot and shooting out of an open airplane window so that I could leverage my high MP Sony mirrorless cameras and lenses rather than rely on the much smaller sensors found on most drones. What are your thoughts on aerial photography? Would you prefer flying a drone or using your cameras to capture scenes like this? Sony a7R II Sony 24-70 f/2.8 GM #sonyalpha
