15 years ago today, a then-new Airbus A380 flew over DC during a "route-proving" mission, passing right over our Museum building in DC. https://t.co/BNez5cS8as

What is this coloured band above Paranal Observatory? It's a circumhorizontal arc, formed by sunlight refracted by ice crystals –– unlike rainbows, which are caused by raindrops. 🔗 https://t.co/Qvmtj2C0BM Credit: G. Ávila/ @ESO https://t.co/0cBwWlEwcP

What would the sky and side effects of an Earth like plant be with Saturn like rings?
I have an idea for my world building and was wondering the actual science behind it. Anything of note that I learn about? Like does the weather and tide change? Does the rings have to be above the equator? Would it make the day be stupidly bright or make would it be visible only at night?

Night launch. Night landing. On this day (well, technically, on this night) in 2008, Space Shuttle Endeavour landed, completing STS-123. Its mission also began at night when it launched at 2:30 am on March 11, the same year. https://t.co/3bFpXUHErg

quick question
Can you look at the sun with a reflector telescope? I'm wondering because I'm contemplating whether k should do it or not because if I do and I screw up then the mirror might melt. Also yes of course I will be using filters I'm not destroying my eyes
