The Fighting Dragons of Ara nebulae rising over the Remarkables in Queenstown New Zealand. The sky and foreground were taken from the same location and and focal length. I've done my best to keep the perspective as true to life as possible. This is in essence an extreme HDR.

Could the space station evolve into an uncrewed drone hub?
Seems like a waste to me to bring down this relic.

Can the age of a hypothetical state of non-existence be measured or quantified?
Let's imagine a scenario in which the Big Bang never occurred, resulting in the absence of galaxies, stars, and celestial objects. Would this mean that time and the concept of age cease to exist in this state of non-existence? If age is not a factor in this hypothetical situation, how could scientists determine such an outcome? Conversely, if age persists in this state, is there a method that would allow us to calculate or quantify the age of a realm where nothing exists?

Theoretical question for anyone to answer.
I am new here and am a huge fan of astronomy. I love looking for satellites and the ISS every chance I get. My gears got churning and after watching a bunch of videos on the Big Bang and what happens if and when there is another one after our universe and whatnot. My question is this, does anyone know or have an idea if there was a big bang and everything prior to ours? I guess what Iām saying is are we the second, third or fourth (and so on) universe?

Our universe is full of planets, but there's no place like home. š On #EarthDay and every day, Goddard's fleet of Earth-observing satellites powers NASA Earth science, keeping watch over our home planet - for today and for the future. This image was created from data collected by NOAA / NASAEarth's Suomi-NPP satellite. See more images of Earth at night and connect to more Earth Day content at the links in our bio! Image description: An image of Earth from space. It is night, and Earth appears as a nearly black globe, lit with faint blue light glowing along its left edge. On its surface, the Asian and Australian continents appear as deep blue land masses, and the diamond shape of India and the curving edges of southeast Asia sparkle with bright nighttime lights in yellow and white. The African continent is visible in shades of brown and green fading to blue along the left edge of the globe. Faintly visible clouds swirl over the surface.
