When a star weighing more than 20 times the Sun runs out of fuel, it collapses and turns into a black hole. But not all black holes are created equal. For #BlackHoleWeek, check out the weird and wonderful black holes of our universe in this @Tumblr blog: https://t.co/Ev3ll3IKmZ https://t.co/rDCWi3uvB7

As #BlackHoleWeek continues, let's flip the script. Black holes are often described as the monsters of the universe, but evidence from Hubble shows a black hole in a new light: fostering, instead of suppressing, star formation! Read more: https://t.co/uYHgsrBNIo https://t.co/phQ422bCgB

This visualization simulates the appearance of a black hole as seen on its edge, where inbound matter has collected into a thin, hot structure called an accretion disk.

Tech Sgt. Ben Kuroki was the only Japanese American to serve in air combat in the Pacific and one of very few soldiers at all to have fought in both the European and Pacific theaters. We reflect on his service in this blog: https://t.co/1mWohfPTf2 #AAPIHeritageMonth https://t.co/EZaO0Ntoxa

Mission patches for NASA human spaceflight missions have included a variety of elements over the years, from Freedom 7 to Crew-4. Do you know what “first” the Apollo 11 patch had (or didn’t have) compared to the other Apollo patches? https://t.co/KpnbQm7w12

Rocket Lab says the booster splashed down in the Pacific Ocean, and was in good shape after recovery from the sea. The company’s CEO didn’t rule out re-flying the booster. Rocket Lab will try another mid-air catch later this year. 📷: @RocketLab https://t.co/hKAyA1pqqI https://t.co/u28G0uweiA

How the f*ck do I move this f*cking thing?
Looking for some advice on transporting my newly acquired telescope. Celestron C8 S-GT Advanced Computerized Telescope - 11026-XLT Not sure how much to break it down if at all or ... ? What works for you? I'm a big strong guy so just schlepping it is sort of any option, I'm not sure the best way to carry it though and I don't want to strain bits that I should not strain. I guess there are 3 use cases here: To the front yard / back parking lot to goof around at home ( just carry? ) To the car / van to the local park down the street for less obstructions ( just keep it together, maybe seat belt? ) to the car / van for a long trip to a dark site ( can I leave it together or should I break it down? ) I have a few moving blankets that I used to bring it home on my motorcycle. I appreciate any advice! On a related note: any grab and go models I should keep an eye out for as a companion?
