Astrophotographer here. I found this anomaly in my RAWs pictures of Elephant Trunk. What is it?
I have a hard time to explain an anomaly I found in my raw material, close to the star μ Cephei, right next to the Elephant Trunk Nebula, that I captured in the recent days. The anomaly was captured at 1:15am, June 11, CET The white dot in the red circle flared up in one single frame. It's gone before and after this shot which means it's not a hot-pixel (would be permanent after occuring once) and that is was visible less than 3min, as my exposure time was 3min. It's nothing in earths orobit (plane, satelite, shoting star etc), those result in stripes due to a different speed. I captured several of them during those sessions, they look very different. 3min is also too short for a super nova or alikes. The sharp edges indicate that it was much brighter. I would assume it was very short but very bright. What could it be? (Video shows frames before and after the anomal in loop, that's why it's "blinking") I'm really curious.

Photo to star chart comparison
Hey guys, I vaguely remember stumbling across a post a while ago with a website that allows you to upload a photo, it would then compare it to a star chart. Then it provided a markup of the various objects in your picture. I'm hoping someone can help me out!

Good apps for taking photos of the night sky on iPhone 14
Been looking for an app to take good pictures of the night sky on my phone, so far so I have looked at Slow Shutter Cam, NightCap and Neuralcam and I have no idea which ones if any are better than the other in any way

Does gravitational orbit cause centrifigul force? And are there any consequences of said force on any of the orbiting bodies in our solar system?
Just a couch thought. Sitting here thinking about that big metal spinning that used to be at playgrounds where you would spin it and try to hold on and you would actually get lifted off the ground and you would get thrown away if you let go. Then started thinking about how planets spin around the sun, and moons spin around planets. Do they experience the same centrifigul force? And are there any observable effects of that centrifigul force?
