Considering becoming a yoga teacher. Need input please!

I’ve long considered becoming a yoga instructor, and I’m very close to making the leap. I see so many different options to become a “certified” yoga instructor. Does anyone have any recommendations on a high quality program? Also, what certifications are necessary? Lastly, I’m extremely flexible, with my back being the exception. I broke my 5th lumbar as a gymnast about 12 years ago and I have ZERO arch and never will. My back remains as flat as a board, always. Will this hinder my yoga abilities and the opportunity to become an instructor? Any additional information related is welcome and appreciated!

Will vinyasa yoga help?

So I’ve signed myself up, to a beginners workshop a 6 week course and I wish to continue after it with more classes but I wanted to know it will help fix my poor posture. So I’ve been going to the gym the last couple of year but my posture has gotten slightly better but I struggle with lifts such as deadlifts this is because my pelvis rotates into a tuck position now I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if it’s down to hamstring flexibility or glute flexibility / both strength even though I’ve trained both. I tried a few yoga poses just to try it out particularly downward dog and it seems in any sort of hinge my pelvis rotated into a tuck or PPT the lower back sticks out and I’m unable to straighten it with any amount of cues so would a 6 week course of once a week help intro me into yoga to fix this. After this course I intend to up the amount I do (classes 3x per week)

How long does it take for yoga to heal trauma?

Hi all. I started to do yoga to help with emotional turmoil. I have gone through severe trauma, over a decade of physical and emotional abuse, I was molested as a child, gone through a horrific suicide attempt, drug addiction, and psychosis. So I obviously know that this is going to take time to heal. I just don’t know how fast or slow yoga heals. I notice that I do feel emotions surfacing up when doing yoga. Which is a good thing to me. I usually like it. But I’ve been doing yoga for 5 weeks and haven’t noticed much of a change sonfar when it comes to my PTSD . Maybe I just didn’t notice it. Any insight would be appreciated thx

Meditation cushions

Hi! I am looking to buy decent meditation cushions at a decent price online, do you have suggestions? Do you have a favorite model and why? I live in Canada so I hope to reduce carbon footprint by having them shipped from a location not so far away from where I live, if possible. Thanks!!🙏

Worried about getting a hip injury

I have been doing gentle yoga seven days a week 40 min a day and I notice soreness in my legs and hips. It kind of feels like the type of pain u get when you have a long workout. It’s been a few days and I guess it’s gotten a little better but not much. It doesn’t hurt when I walk. Is this something to be concerned about or is this normal in yoga

Hatha Yoga Ashrams in India

Hi! I am looking to spend some time in India and so one of those 100/200 hours courses this spring. I was looking online for places to do it but I do not feel confident to commit to any! Some don't have any reviews, some have strangelly good reviews. Some ask for a lot of money in advance before seing anything. I mean, I can ask for pictures but I don't know if they reflect the reality. I did not find something that I could verify that the reviews were not purchased. So, my question is: Any of you Yoga redditors have any experience with a Hatha Ashram in India? Would be very helpful! Thank you!
