Yoga for bereavement/grief?
I lost my fiancé very suddenly in a car accident at the end of last year, just a week before we were due to get married. I did lots of at home yoga during covid lockdowns but haven’t really done much of it since life went back to normal. I think revisiting yoga would really help me, both mentally and physically. I currently feel like I’m holding things together ok, but I know there are probably emotions I’m not yet processing. I’ve been to two in person classes since his accident, and I’ve signed up for another couple next week, and I’d also like to try to practice more at home again. Just wondering, has anyone used yoga to help them process grief? Any tips?

Yoga for Apnea
I am a very fit and healthy woman except in one important way - I chronically and unconsciously hold my breath day and night. It has gotten so bad I feel like it could lead to me having a heart attack. I know I am a chest breather, which has lead to a weak diaphragm, and consequently tight neck/shoulders and apnea. I have been doing some exercises to improve my diaphragmic breathing. However, results are not coming soon enough. I would like to begin doing a daily yoga practice to supplement. In your experience, would yoga help me strengthen my breathing and cure my apnea? What kind of yoga should I try? Links to YouTube videos would be very helpful, as well as any other resources you know of.

Motivation
After the New Year I downloaded the app Asana Rebel so I could begin doing yoga and getting healthier. I’m slim and short but the signs of my bad physical health are evident from my shortness of breath after brief exercise and also the amount of soreness I get from exercise. I started by trying to do ten minutes of exercise three times a week. I managed this for maybe two weeks and now my body is sore. I’ve taken a break for two weeks due to having a bad cough but now I just feel bad about myself and like I’ve put a huge block in my progress. How do I get consistent? How do I motivate myself to exercise?

Restorative Nidra Yoga
I have ocd and it’s very bad and persistent which I developed as soon as I got an autoimmune disease. I do believe it’s caused from inflammation but also do believe ocd is common for me to experience with my borederline personality disorder. I did Resprative Nidra Yoga for the first time and my thoughts went quiet, it was like my intrusive thoughts were gone and he said focus on the thoughts and then let them go I then got visuals of the thoughts but not in the bad way but like in a peaceful way like I let go of them if that makes sense? And that they weren’t holding me back I went into a hypnotic state then fell asleep. I love this yoga do much I believe it’ll cure my ocd and help reduce the inflammation I have. I’m so happy I found a solution I love Yoga so much.

Resolving Carbonic Kundalini Symptoms specifically though Asanas and Pranayams
Hello, I would like to know from the community from what asanas and pranayama did you use to resolve your Kundalini symptoms. It took me 3 years to realise that what I have is a Kindalini and now I wish to resolve it. Nadishodhan is something that I am incorporating but I would like more help.

What is the biggest benefit you've received from consistent yoga practice?
Hi everyone! I've returned to yoga after not really doing it for 4 or 5 years (and before then I would only do it occasionally), and I'm so happy with how much I've been enjoying it. I've been going to a studio the past few days, and I really think I'm going to try and be consistent with it. One question I have here for active yogis: what do you enjoy the most about doing yoga? What changes did you notice the most once you started participating in it? Was it something you didn't expect? I'm really motivated right now, but I feel like it might burn out (which is what has happened before), so I'm hoping if people share then it might be easier to try and be consistent with practicing yoga.

Help with hip/glute pain
Hello. I have been trying to do yoga for a few months now, but a problem I keep running into is my tight hips. Recently, they are so tight that I get pain in my upper glute just from lying down. Most hip opener poses are difficult for me. My hips are >6” off the ground when attempting pigeon and I can’t get my legs anywhere near the appropriate angle for cow face or log pose. Sometimes it even hurts to sit cross legged. Can anyone help with recommendations for poses I can get into that would start to loosen up my hips and glutes that are for absolute beginners? As a note, I have been using an acupressure mat, heating pad, and foam roller,in addition to my yoga practice.

What was that yoga clothing brand called?
I’m trying to remember a old yoga brand from maybe like 15 years ago. I cannot find it anywhere, it started with the letter L (NOT lululemon). They had the best flared pants in tall sizes (back when flared pants were just yoga pants and not “flared yoga pants” lol). They even had stores. Does anyone else remember this brand?

I started yoga maybe three months ago, very tight hips and everything. Doing happy baby before I would use the assist of the straps. But tonight, I DID IT WITHOUT THE STRAPS AND WAS ABLE TO GRAB MY ANKLES!!!!! And I sat with my legs crossed and no ISSUES! I’m so glad that I embarked on this journey and thank you to this community for being awesome and pushing me! ❤️
