Anyone else going through a bit of a slump?
Hello! I'm currently on my 13th week in a row of 4 hot yoga classes a week, and so far this week (and last week) my body has just been so worn out during class. I had to take child's pose twice last night which is not really like me. I figure it's just because of stress and other stuff going on, but does anybody have any advice about how to get through this slump? I love yoga classes and will keep going, I just feel so worn out right now.

Beginner Yoga Poses
Teachers and long time students, what would you say are some beginner yoga poses and what are not? Can all poses be “beginner” with modifications, props, and going slow?

Transitioning from handstand walks to holds
I’ve always loved handstands, but can’t seem to hold still in them. I can handstand walk pretty well, so in yoga classes during handstands I’m always pacing around in place unable to stop moving. I’ve gotten a little better at holding still but progress is slow. I’d love to eventually learn to handstand press but that’ll never happen until I can stay put. Has anyone else worked through this, or just have any general advice for finding stillness in a handstand? Any tips are much appreciated.

Back pain events / setbacks.. (Degenerative Disks)
Seems like every 6-8 months I bork my back during yoga. Each time I feel like I learn something more about bad form or how to better listen to my body. This last event was triggered by what Im calling a "crappy puppy". Was trying to get my chin on the floor, arms not in the right alignment, knees defo not directly over hips. Felt a hot flash in my lower back and now Im on injury / not doing anything till the back calms down (typically a week er two of no practice). I should have just left the class but stayed .. alas not a good idea either. I do not really know what to do: I love the feeling yoga gives me but I keep having these back pain events that negatively impact me. Dr says things like "degenerative disks disorder" er some such and encourages yoga in general. Im just trying to stay active and not be in pain.. Anyone else in here doing yoga with Degenerative Disks? Any advise / things to avoid or focus on?

Typical price for a drop-in class?
Hi all. I’m traveling in the US and I like to stop in to studios for a hot yoga class when I can. I’m currently in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and was stunned to see the costs for a single drop in class. [Colleyville, TX](https://inspireyoga.com/colleyville/) $30 [Colleyville, TX](https://www.theyogacasa.com/the-yoga-casa-pricing.html) $29 I’ve paid anywhere from $12 to $22 in the past but this seems a bit outrageous to me. I wondered if I was misremembering so I looked at other studios I’ve visited in the last year to compare. [Lakeland, FL](https://yogapointe.com/join1) $21 [New Orleans, LA](https://www.swanriveryoga.com/pricing) $20 [Beachwood, OH](https://www.clevelandyoga.com/pricing) $22 (in person) ———— Is $30 for a drop in yoga class normal where you live?
