Child's pose makes me cry

Every time. Like uncontrollably. And then my body doesn't want me to move from the position for at least 10 minutes. I'm assuming this has to do with emotional blockages/stagnant energy getting released in this pose? Does anyone else have this happen? It's not really an issue, but might be if I take a public yoga class lol.

What's your favorite form of yoga?

I am a yoga lover and I prefer pilates, do you have any good recommendations?

2 hour session?

Anybody here do yoga 2 hours at a time? I don’t notice shifts until about an hour hits. But two hours seems to maximize benefits. Just curious what it’s like for others.

Would you write a negative review of your teacher after a bad YTT experience?

I finished a 300 hour YTT with a teacher who is just downright arrogant, puts you down, looks down on other exercise like pilates and called pilates practitioners dogs for the way they breath, his methods are downright traditional with no scientific explanations to his poses and adjustments. It's all hand me down methods from various generations of traditional yoga gurus. He labels wheel and aerial yoga, hot yoga and bikram yoga as rubbish!! In my country, the yoga commununity is small and most teachers know each other. If I write a bad review I am also afraid that it will affect my chances of getting a teaching stint with other studios. Any advice?

ISO yoga bag

i am in search of *the* yoga bag. Preferably would fit a regular mat, two blocks (reg size or mini), one strap, one water bottle. Bonus points if it fits phone and keys!

yoga plus 12-3-30 started last week (It consists of setting a treadmill to a 12% incline and walking at 3 miles per hour for 30 minutes)

I've noticed when I'm at yoga during the vinyasa sequence which probably lasts around 5 mins or so, I get so out of breath I have to go back to child's pose. So I decided to add 12-3-30 workout. Oh boy!!!!! It's a lot harder than I thought. So first few days I just incline up to 4 percent. After one month, I will update how my vinyasa flows goes. I'm giving up about my weight. I'm at my heaviest and I no longer want the weight to stop me from enjoying life. I seemed to not able to control the food. So I'm focusing on yoga and hopefully this cardio addition will help. Thoughts? Suggestions?

“Yoga Medicine brought me home. Rachel Land was a mentor that landed on my screen like an angel. Her training changed everything. Within a couple of minutes into the first video, I realized that my lack of planning wasn’t the problem. It was how I planned" https://t.co/HiuzVc0qge https://t.co/2CUn8U3WAl

Upper back and shoulder recommendations

Hi, So, I have (re-) started Yoga (after doing it like 3 months a year ago). I wanted to improve my back pains and general health and I already see some improvements in the last 2 months. I was doing it 20-30 mins each day in the morning. I use the beginner (mostly) programs from the app Namaste. Since some days I also started doing reverse fly for additional training. Apart I do some walks. I still often have problems with the upper back muscles, trigger points between shoulder blades and due to that breathing problems. How long does it realistically need for the whole back to be ok? Any specific movements or training that is recommended? Thanks!
