Fibromyalgia and Yoga
Hey all. Hope you're well and happy. Just wondered if there's some recommendations for exhausted, in pain peeps who want to stretch out the grossness in their bodies without exerting themselves. I have fibromyalgia and I'm exhausted all the time, in pain all thr time and have zero motivation. Anything really subtle and relaxing you can recommend on YT or something similar. Bought a yoga mat and blocks but don't know where to start. I know it'll help but how to begin is beyond me. Thanks. Take care. X

Forward fold exercises for beginners
Hello, I took up yoga this year and really enjoying it ... until I have to do forward folds (i.e. sit on your bum, spread your legs and stretch out in front. I can barely get anywhere with this. What can I do to work on this? Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

Lower back pain
Hey! I’m a beginner to yoga, I’ve been doing practicing at home pretty much everyday for the last few months. I’ve noticed overall improvement with my general flexibility, and body but I can’t seem to get a good deep lower back stretch. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on poses/flows I should try I do notice lighter stretching in my lower back with poses like child’s pose, but I can’t seem to get a deeper stretch. Thanks for any advice or tips y’all have! I’m excited to further my journey into my practice

Yoga poses and emotional blockages / retention / release
It's common yogi knowledge that certain yoga poses will open up certain emotional pathways and release. I try to approach my yoga with as little woo as possible. I experience the emotional release in certain poses and I want to learn more as to why. Is there any real scientific research or studies done on this?

What to wear for morning yoga
Hi there everyone, sorry if this was is a bit of an odd question but I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions for what to wear during morning yoga? I'm talking about a session you'd do everyday (pretty much) straight out of bed. If I was going to a class or doing yoga in the evening I would wear some leggings, sports bra and a top maybe but in the morning I feel like this is, I dunno... *too* sporty? I like to feel comfy and more like I'm doing the yoga for myself, to start my day off right, meditate etc. and less like a workout. Also a lot of the time I'm not in the mood first thing to put on leggings and sports bra (which is also my workout gear). So does anyone have any suggestions of what to wear that's casual and comfy enough for a morning session? Natural materials would be ideal! Any recommended brands would be great too although of course I'm trying to shop secondhand.

Trauma-informed yoga teachers or program?
Hello, I’ve only been doing yoga for the past 2 months. I have Complex PTSD so I’m more attracted to “slow” or restorative yoga like Hannah Yuri on youtube, where the flow is very focused on releasing traumas my body have stored. Right now, Zabie Yamasaki is offering her 8-week course at 50% discount, so it’s $175 now. I’m wondering if anyone here already tried her program? And what’s your review of it? Thank you. I’m enjoying yoga so far in my trauma work.
