Traditional Yoga
Where can I find some reliable resources to learn about traditional yoga? Is it a closed practice? I'm not talking about just movement exercises, but also learning about the chakras and meditation that goes with it.

Yoga classes at gym vs studio
Hi everyone. I have been doing yoga off and on for a number of years. I have gone to lots of classes that are offered at my regular gym and done some YouTube classes at home. I haven't gone to an actual yoga studio yet. I was wondering what everyone's opinions are on gym yoga classes? The teachers at mine rarely give individual attention or tips to fix your poses, but I assume you might get more of that at a studio? Also wondering how you learn to do more advanced poses. Sometimes the gym instructor will say "option to move into crow now" or similar but doesn't actually explain how to do that. At a dedicated yoga studio, are you expected to know the poses already or do they explain how to do them? I know there is probably a lot of variation based on instructor but just wondering what differences I can generally expect if I switch from the gym classes to a yoga studio.

Hug to the inner me
I am new to yoga, about 3 months now and have struggled with the flow ( low plank to upward dog). I had read article after article and watched videos of how to do it right and still could not make it work and assumed my problem was lack of upper body strength. Last week my poor body couldn't take it anymore and I got a nasty case of costochondritis on the right side from my bad form. Guess there is nothing like pain to teach one a lesson because the pain has finally made me get the move right ( well sorta, am now able to get into a low plank and hover over the mat with my arms tucked tightly into my sides pain free). Up next, more practice aimed at pushing forward and up into upward dog. Am proud of me!!

Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK) vs Yoga Alliance (USA)
I live in the UK and looking at getting my 200 HR YTT with the hopes to get my 300 YTT afterwards.. Currently looking at different schools around the world and notice most with the US Yoga Alliance, thinking it was the same as the UK Yoga Alliance. Which I realize now they are two separate organizations. Anyone who teaches in the UK, know if I need to take a course that is connected to the UK Yoga Alliance Professionals in order to get insured? Or is it possible to do a course that's instead connected to the US Yoga Alliance?

Teaching notes/prompts
How do you teachers do notes for class? I need some kind of prompt to remind myself what comes next in class.

I'm trying to get back into a regular yoga practice, but I am very uncomfortable in my own body. What do you wear when you practice (at home or in-class)?
I've tried the sports bra/leggings combo, but it is so wickedly uncomfortable for me to wear, and I also feel that I look horrible in it. It's tight and restricting but I also feel that wearing clothing that is too loose could present its own challenges. Any suggestions? I am thinking maybe thin sweatpants with a tank top and no sports bra (I never wear a bra in my day-to-day life, if that's relevant).
